Yet history is written by three paid off, fat, balding shit streak wankers in tuxedo's! They get to decide what the things we just saw with our own eyes mean like religious elders? Hell, why do we even need a neat tied up ending like children demand from their movies? Bring back N/C's and newspaper decisions. :shit:

Well, at least with a newspaper decision there's a proper understanding that all it is is somebody's opinion. And all it has to be is 'the general feeling inside the area was that Smith got the better of proceedings'. Nothing is set in stone, history is just commented upon not written, great fighters careers aren't defined by fat middle aged nobodies who probably couldn't manage a light jog round the arena.
I refering to the Pac/Marquez fight , I could give a shit who won. However you calling people that point out a CLEAR fuckin problem a bitch or something to that effect is ridiculous .. IMO a bitch is someone who hasn't the balls to speak out about something that is so obviously wrong here ... Fuck it , lets execute the guys on death row even after they have been cleared with DNA evidence ... Newspaper decisions were often based on one of the fighters' managers who reported to the press about fights. It is truly amazing that judging fights is so easy but the only ones who can't do it are the ones who have been educated for it
Newspaper decisions would be just as fraught with bullshit, incompetancy and corruption as official decisions, but as I said, at least fighters whole careers and legacies wouldn't be defined by them. Different newspapers would no doubt give different decisions. And there would be an understanding that OUR opinions as the paying public/boxing fans are just as valid. What other sport does victory come COMPLETELY down to the arbitration of fat idiots. Imagine if after a draw in football the whole stadium hushed, the players congregated in the centre circle and 3 fat idiots in the gantries told everybody who'd just won. Fuck it. As for the competency of judges - totally agree! common theme with over educated people - they lose touch with reality. There is ONE I repeat ONE criteria for who won a fight - who accumulated the most damage in a round. Ie which punches landed, how hard they were and what damage they did. 'Ring generalship' & 'effective aggression' are means by which you put yourself in a position to do that, they are NOT criteria for judging a fight and can only fog up a judges mind from the SIMPLE matter at hand. Who's going forward - who cares? Who's footwork is better - who cares? Who manages to impose their will and make the fight their type of fight based on your preconcieved notions? Who cares. All these things just fuck peoples heads up from the SIMPLE mater at hand.
