The only thing Castillo had over Julio was the ability to drain water to make weight.

The extra size allows him to stay in the fight and last 12.

    Chavez UD.

Castillo UD, too big. Chavez is getting overrated, as always.

Does anyone think Rocky Lockridge or Juan Laporte were better than Castillo?

chavez wins on points. it would've been a tough fight.

chavez wouldn't have held any size advantage either. castillo was all around, the bigger guy.

Castillo was bigger, but I dont think he was physically stronger. Castillo had a longer frame, but Chavez was thicker and I think stronger.

My guess is that chavez feels much the same as the original joy boy does.

Chavez- "I taught Castillo everything he knows. Not everything I know."

Rocky Lockridge and Juan Laporte were as good or better than anyone Castillo beat and were as good as the man himself

Except size, reach and physical strength.

Chavez wins...A DECISION, but no more than 8-4 (I lean towards 7-5)

its a tribute to how much better Chavez was that Castillo's own enthusiastic backers are only giving him a shot because he fought in an era where weigh-ins were a joke... his "size advantage" is merely a symptom of boxing's idiotic system of weigh-ins

let's put him in with real welterweights of the past, see how he does there... he gets beaten up

So what though? Chavez was around in the 24 hour weigh-in days. Just HBO wasnt tracking fight time weights in the early 90's.
