Norton by UD. Mercer was a solid hitter, but nowhere NEAR the firepower of Foreman and Shavers. Norton was the far better technician of the two. An old Norton gave a PRIME Holmes a tougher fight than a young Mercer gave to a washed up Holmes. That should tell you the difference in their skill levels. But then again.... Mercer arguably beat Lewis, and Lewis would have destroyed Norton. All styles. But the styles here favor Norton.
Norton by UD ... It's a good action fight if Mercer shows up, though... Still, Norton was basically hell for everyone who wasn't a huge puncher and nobody gave great jabbers more trouble with that counter-jab he liked to throw I liked Norton... He had an odd looking style, but against the right opponent, he was fun to watch and he'd always land those loopy hooks and overhand rights clean somehow
Norton easily. Mercer doesn't punch hard enough to get Norton out of there and if you're not going to get Norton out of there you're in for a looooooooong night.
Odd looking style? Just say it like it is...his style of fighting was ghastly. Ugly, ugly style....he deserved to get ktfo based on his style of fighting alone.
