I think Torres is a good fighter as well. Should be a good fight. It should end in a KO by Holt. As far as do I believe in him? I think Holt is a solid fighter. He will never be elite. I could see him getting an abc belt here and there in his career. But never really having a long stay with it. I think of him on the same level as Corley. Good fighters who get beat by elite fighters.opcorn:
Kendall Holt was KO'ed in the 1st Round by a "Dude" w/Looooooooong Braids & PINK Shorts... REED May NEVER B "Sold" on Kendall Holt... REED
:nono: :nono: :nono: I heard it will be on TV in Argentina, which means the fight will be available on the net within 24 hours.
hmm... i wonder if that means it will be available on TyC. Though to be honest, it's still not a fight I'm planning my Saturday night around.
torres can punch, but the guy has no defense. his chin is also suspect and holt should land at will and knock him out.
He might beat Torres, who seemed to generate a lot of juice based off of his thriller against Cotto (never minding that it resulted in a KO loss). I think they're both fringe contenders, to be honest, and both are very overrated. Intangibles aside (as there is a lot I don't like about Holt), one thing about Holt is that if he can't knock out his opponent (or get knocked out himself), then his fights are painfully dull. As TWIN alluded to earlier, his most exciting fight was a 1st round KO loss to Thomas Davis who, quite frankly, sucks. Holt has suction with the East Coast media, therefore gets more shine than most. But he's not much more than a decent boxer with respectable power. I just never understood the hype behind him - and why anyone buys into what Dino Duva of all people is selling. (even if the two are presently on the outs).
TyC hasn't shown any Torres fights to my knowledge and since he's a Columbian and not an Argentine, I doubt the fight is getting televised by TyC. . I think Holt is extremely good...better than most current world champs right now, including Torres. The loss to Davis seems like one of those non-telling missteps that guys like John Ruiz, Corrie Sanders, JC Gomez, and on and on and on...it's boxing..shit happens.
This idiot Spanish announcer is impossible to interpret, he thinks he is selling infomercial products
Shamefull that no us network picked up that fight, on paper, it was a far better fight than a lot of recent televised fights and, by the look of it, it was FOY candidate
