What he says here makes ABSOLUTE sense, and it just reinforces my belief that he wasn't trying to duck out on the fight, he wasn't faking or anything. The doctors over reacted, and now he's getting blamed for it.

    Hopefully the rematch happens.

I would have added a question if I was conducting the interview...

Why did you lay there, motionless, during the entire ordeal? If you were ok after you caught your breath, why didn't you prove it by moving, and well, standing up?

true, I hope he never fights on HBO again

It's possible the doctors instructed him not to move. If they didn't know if his neck was injured, any respectable doctor would NEVER allow a patient to move, and potentially do more damage.

I saw him moving his legs, perhaps at the instruction of the doctors to make sure he could.

But he says he was fine. He says he was ready to fight. If that was true, you start moving on your own. At least force the doctor to keep you still.
It's a natural follow-up question considering what Kermit was saying in the interview.

    He simply didn't do that.

If a doctor thinks you're injured in your neck area, they're not going to allow you to go on, no matter whether or not you want to go on or not.

Maybe I'm incorrect here, but the ringside doctors have a bit of sway in these situations.

Bottom line is this: None of us were down there, so we don't know EXACTLY what was said and what went down.

Until we hear more, I don't think it's possible to make a proper evaluation of what went down.

None of that is relevant to what I'm saying.

I'm just saying I would have asked Kermit about it.

That would be a valid question.

He and his management, indicated they knew about the california ruling going to the cards early, so what happenned was, he felt he was ahead in the fight, and took the oppurtunity to leap out of the ring, fake an injury, and hopefully steal the fucken victory,... and since it backfired, he went bazerk, and beat the side of the ambulance.

He can suck it. I wouldn't give the bitch a rematch, hopefully this opens peoples eyes up to devious bitch-fighters who may attempt this corrupt tactic in the future.

If hevead ok, he should have immediately gotten up. The only reason why doctors were worried was because he laid there, playing f
    dead.

Yep. He figured he was ahead and wanted to steal the win right then and there.

The issue isn't what happened after he went through the ropes...my issue is WHY he went through the ropes. It was clear he pushed off to clear the middle rope.

When I see his ankle flex and he lifts the OTHER leg to clear the rope...I don't need to see anything else.

    It's clear he jumped.

The fact the doctor kept him down or whatever is immaterial. It's easy to be demonstrative about wanting to fight when you know the fight is over. We saw the same after Tyson bit Holyfield and Zab was KO'd by Tszyu. Both put up more effort after the fight was over.

You are still in denial OP. If I went to some ridiculous degree to defend some bitch ass then was proven that he fagged out, I would just accept it and call him a bitch. He literally took a dive and fucking pretended he'd just been shot. It's not like the doctor came in on impact and told him not to move. The asshole laid there for a good 4 minutes motionless and they kept telling him he had time to recover, which he granted no response.

When there's more information out there, I'll make a definitive statement on it (not to sound all official) but I just hesitate to go to the lengths that others are and calling him a bitch and saying he faked it.

Maybe it's because I don't WANT to believe that someone would do that, and also because it makes no damn sense.

I think a lot of people in here already don't like Cintron, and so it's easy to believe that he faked it and deliberately tried to find a way out. I don't have any history of watching Cintron or anything, so I don't have that preconceived view of him perhaps.

If you really want to carry on....you show that you are ready to fight...you don't want anyone or anything to take this opportunity away from you....you don't just stay down and not move a muscle.

I knew the second once the camera finally panned in on Cintron on the ground, that the fight was over and he would make no attempt to continue on. Like others have mentioned,if he really wanted to continue,he would of at least have shown some signs, any signs of movement. But never did. It looks like he knew he was gonna land on the ropes and embellished it a bit by leaping out of the ring.

I kind of knew that something like this might of happened with Cintron involved.:boohoo:

No fucking way anyone, let alone a doctor is holding me down, telling me not to move, telling me i cant finish the fight fight, IF IM OK.

No one would hold me down. I would be struggling, jumping up and down, doing jumping jacks, etc. This motherfucker was being held down by a few fingers on his neck.

Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Exactly. That's the key point. He knew the california rules, evidently thought he was ahead and thought he'd weasel the 'w'.

of course he knew the rules. That is why his management made sure to point out that the judge that gave all four rounds to williams should never judge again.

    Initial Fall/trip = legit.

Jumping out of the ring and cartwheeling his way onto the ground? = Fake.
