This is the fight they should be arranging after super six winner is decided, this has to be the second biggest fight at the division. Either in canada or denmark it would sell out and even round the world it would be massive fight and people would be very interested. id still pick kessler over bute though
I think Ward was able to defeat Kessler for very specific reasons related to his swarming and a-rhythmic style. So I don't think the success Ward had should have much bearing on people's view of Bute/Kessler. Having said that, Bute has his own kind of unique style that could prove just as problematic for Kessler as Ward's did, if for entirely different reasons. But it's not as if Kessler doesn't bring with him strengths of his own that could prove problematic for Bute. Kessler's jab and right-hand, as Johnson showed, are clearly effective weapons against the south-paw. Where Johnson's height, less powerful jab, and poor judge of distance meant his right-hand was less than a factor, you can bet Kessler would be in a much better position to zero it in. In Froch and Ward, Kessler struggled with a herky-jerky style that made it difficult for him to find distance and be set to punch. It remains to be seen if Bute would or could employ with success a similar strategy, and that if he didn't, what it would mean for his own chances.
kessler style would give bute so many problems with that jab and right-hand, he is alot quicker than johnson too. therefore, bute would not have time to set him self up as easy either, i see it as a easy ud for kessler. In the ward fight, ward just jumped on him head butting him and cutting his face up bad, should hada point deducted for that shit. im sure ward will use same tactics for froch too and being in america again probably get away with it, although it is out of oakland, for once.
well i dont think bute derseves to fight ward or froch with out fighting someone as good kesler first
well both fighter create interest with the winner of that super six, kessler with Froch cause hes the only man to beat him and with Ward it was dodgy with all the head butts. Plus with bute its even more interesting cause no one knows if he is hype or if he is good as he says he is, and kind of disrespect the super six by saying he beats both ward and froch easy. even though he was too much of a pussy to enter it himself.
But he did head butt him alot, cut him open quite badly and had to deal with that while he was fighting.
i think kessler is more worthy than him, thats why they need to fight and then the winner fights the winner of super six, bute hasnt fought anybody to be number 1 contender. kessler = calazaghe, Ward, Froch, Mundine bute= johnson
bute's too slick and versatile for kessler imo. however, it would be interesting to see how bute reacts when kessler is able to time his long straight punches on the chin.
i think he only looks slick, when hes against over the hill fighters or average fighters put him against a top experineced fighter like kessler and you will see him get beat up bad
I personally think bute is overrated, BUT, I am being quite critical when I haven't seen him against a top, P4P worthy opponent. I may give him the benefit of doubt here until he raises the level of opponent, then see how he fairs and challenge his credentials.
