    Kevin Johnson (21-0-1, 8 KO's) is Taking on 2004 Olympian, Devin Vargas (17-0, 7 KO's) Tonight...There Probably WON'T B a KO here, but it's a GOOD Matchup btwn 2 TALENTED Guys who Haven't Managed to Make a SPLASH Yet...

REED's Been HIGH on Kevin Johnson for a Couple Years Now...He's Got a GOOD Mix of SIZE (6'3 or So), QUICKNESS, REFLEXES, ATHLETICISM & a BRILLIANT Jab...& he's an EXCELLENT Interview...

Casual fans watching must be thinking Kevin Johnson is a killer machine, the way he´s talking about himself.

Vargas looks weak, but I hope he can shut Johnson up.

Kevin Johnson is one of the most difficult to beat fighters out there. He's missing alot of things that make fighters very good to great, but he posseses exactly what you need to scare anyone half decent away from you.

    20-18 Vargas

Nice stretch in the middle for Johnson, who has the heavier hands and will probably take over once Vargas gets tired, but so far Vargas is outworking him. Vargas also landing solid blows.

Johnson is easy to hit. Vargas just is not a fighter at heart. Just seeing his own blood scared him shitless.

    28-28.

This Vargas guy look like a fat slow Roy Jones in round 4..with the lead rights...and movement...maybe if he wasn't so fat he could be a better heavyweight...

and Johnson look likes a much better version of Samuel Peter...faster everything...more aggressive....

I don´t know what you see in Johnson?

When he steps up he gets outworked or KTFO.

I dunno who you're talking to, but I don't see a great deal in Johnson. Just that he's the kind of fighter who's difficult to beat and not many managers are interested in signing him up as an opponent for their charge.

If Vargas trained a like a pro, he could have a career at cruiserweight, but at heavyweight, he´ll always get worn down and knocked out.

    OVERALL, Good Win for Johnson...

EARLY, Johnson had Trouble w/the HANDSPEED of the Naturally Smaller Vargas (Who SHOULD Melt His Fat Ass DOWN to Crusier;Dude Looked like a Hispanic Eddie Chambers in There), but it was CLEAR Johnson had ZERO Respect for Vargas' Ability to HURT him...

Johnson DIDN'T Jab Nearly as Much as he NORMALLY Does & REED Thinks that's Because he was TRYING to Make a Statement...Johnson COULD have Kept Vargas @ Bay All Night & JABBED his Way to a UD, but he Wanted to Make an IMPRESSION Tonight...

    Mission ACCOMPLISHED...

The Fight SHOULD have Been Stopped 1 or 2 Rounds Soooooner...It was APPARENT that Vargas Wanted to B Anywhere BUT Inside a Boxing Ring...GOOD Win for Johnson...REED'll Give him a B or B +...But Dude had BETTER Start Tucking his Chin Though...Whenever Vargas Attacked, Johnson's Head RARELY Moved, he Retreated Backwards In a STRAIGHT LINE (1 of THE Biggest No-No's in Boxing) & his Chin was Sitting on a Fucking Platter...

Johnson's STILL a Work in Progress, but he's CLEARLY Top 10 Material, Regardless of Sanctioning Body...

    agREED...

Johnson WON'T B Making Anybody's All Time Lists & it Remains to B Seen if he's Even Capable of WINNING a World Title, but he WON'T B an Easy Win for Anybody...He's JUST Big Enough where HUGE Heavy's WON'T Dwarf him, yet he's NIMBLE, SKILLED & Heavyhanded Enough to Outbox Smaller Heavy's...

Johnson's Normally MORE Defensive Minded than he was Tonight...He SACRIFICED Defense (& his Jab) for POWER...

    It'd B Interesting...

It's IMPERATIVE that Johnson Work his Jab as he NORMALLY Does, Against Arreola...Fighting like he Did TONIGHT, Johnson would LOSE to Arreola...U CAN'T Lay on the Ropes, In a SHELL, Looking for SINGLE Shots Against Arreola...

But U're Right, Arreola's Peeps WON'T Make that Fight...They WON'T Jeopardize the Klit Payday....

What Johnson DOES possess thats world class, is his jab. He would be a serious threat to a walk in scrubber like Arreola.

Johnson and Arreola are really good friends actually. They spar with eachother regularly and openly say that the other gets the better of them. They both say that the other will rule the division.
