I think I'd go with Kelley. GRJ was more talented and more durable than Kelley, but he was missing something in terms of substance. I think The Flushing Flash would outfight him down the stretch.
Interesting, never seen this one before. As X says, despite Gary Russel being the more talented, Kelley has the intangibles, and can rightfully claim to be a greater fighter. I'd take Kelley over simply knowing more about how he dealt with elite opposition.
I agree with you both. It's cliche but we know Kelley has that dog in him. He's fought through adversity and win or lose it made for some exciting fights. I think Russell would be winning but Kelley would start to touch him up and make it much more competitive as the fight goes on. Russell lands more but Kelley lands the bigger and more meaningful shots to take a tight decision.
