I thought Cleverly beat Mitchell just recently,..?.. obviously not,.. the only reason why I remember is because Cleverly's last opponent was an Irishman.
Cleverlys last opponent was Italian. Mitchell is a Super-Featherweight, Cleverly is a Light-Heavyweight.
Nobleart: I saw Mitchell beat Prescott on the Amir Khan undercard, the British were celebrating like he won the world title. Fast hands and fair footwork, reminds me of a Juan Diaz minus the polish, pretty fair kid..but he ain't beating that tough as nails sonofabitch Australian, Michael Katsidis, no way and no how, bro. Katsidis will chow down on him like a hungover Englishman does on a Sunday afternoon on a serving of Bangers and Mash, with a few pints of Guiness to wash it down. Karl
I can see him beating Katsidis, but it will be very very tough. What did you make of Cleverley, Stinger?
NO WAY he beats that badass Australian, bro. Perhaps if he head butts him and opens his eyebrows up, but not in a standup fight. Cleverly I like, but he needs more experience, big kid, gifted fighter, but don't rush him, moves quite well, Chris likes him as a fighter, we'll see in the next couple years. Perhaps he can come over and spar with Henry after he wins the Interim WBA title, we'd love to have him here at the Main Gym. Karl
mitchell and katsidis are fighting? karl, isn't diaz in discussion w/ rematching katsidis after that public challenge made by katsidis on the internet? i thought there was a statement issued on fightnews not too long ago w/ savannah saying that they would gladly accept the challenge.
Hey Karl, MeetTheFeebles is Chris Baldwin. I just posted the article. I'll admit I don't know much about either guy.
Mitchell v Katsidis is a real 50-50 fight IMHO. If Katsidis can drag Mitchell into a brawl, like Johannson did not so long ago, it will be a tremendous fight. If I had to bet on it, I'd pick Katsidis, simply because I like the kid a lot and he's plenty fun to watch. MTF opcorn;
Man..don't know about that one, bro. I may be over there Saturday morning to speak with Adam Richards as he prepares for the cruiserweight title shot vs. Marco Huck, then again, I may not as it is my off day and I sleep in. Juan IMO is past his best, he peaked after he beat Julio Diaz, and is now on the downslide, but he can turn it around. Juan's problem is that he has that bad eye that he has never allowed to heal properly, and when he gets cut and starts wiping at it, you know he loses focus and concentration and somewhat falls apart mentally. That kid before the Mayweather-Marquez fight really busted Katsidis up, did he break his jaw or just swell it up? Mr. Savannah will gladly accept it if it is in HOUSTON, that much I do believe. Right now, I'd say it is a pick 'em, but if they do fight again, look for Juan to do much more boxing and moving this time around. I think Juan was better when he was going to college and boxing, he has been out over a year now, and is not the fighter he was two years ago.
That is exactly the same thing two boxing journalists from Houston that post here say, the kid is burnt out. All of those amateur fights since he was 8 years old, all of the hard sparring and hard pro fights, even when he won he took heavy punishment like vs. Lakva Sim and Julien Lorcy, you guys may be right.
