What happens in an immediate re-match?

Philips wins again in an immediate rematch. I think he had Tszyu's number, and Tszyu simply wasn't a mentally tough fighter. Being that Philips already took his best, and whupped his ass, in an immediate rematch Philips would once again show resistance, and Tszyu's confidence would dwindle pretty quickly.

Philips only had a one year peak (1997) but in that one year he was a damn good fighter. Not only in the Tszyu fight - he also beat the Hell outta Mickey Ward and Freddie Pendleton that year.

Why would someone only have a one year peak?

When Phillips lost the title to Terron Millett he had to drop something like 40lbs in camp.
