What are people's thoughts on laugh tracks? Like them? Hate them? Don't really notice them? I've personally never minded them if it's a live studio audience, I always found it weird and stupid though when there used to be canned laughter in old episodes of the Flintstones. I know some people who really can't stand them though and will refuse to watch a sitcom, no matter how good, because it has a laugh track.
I used to not take notice of it, but now it bothers me more and more as time goes on and you see more and more shows prove that they're not necessary. Obviously canned laughter is far more annoying then a live studio audience, except for every once in awhile when you notice some schmuck in the front row guffaw every time Ross from Friends says some stupid throwaway line. Some shows will try and mix the two of them together and that's probably even worse. It's perfectly ok for sketch shows and live stand-up though.
I noticed that too with Friends, especially in the early series, but I take the opposite view, I quite liked it.
Canned-laughter is great. I have various MP3 laughter downloads that I can hit '>' on when I've come up with yet another amazing joke or one-liner. Like my great 'Point Break slogan' when Nobleart freaked out again:
Nobleart doesn't freak out, Nobleart is calm at all times. You mistake Nobleart's theatrics for uncontrolled passion.......................much like most people mistake Luke Bracey's starring role as Johnny Utah in the unimpeachable cinema classic "Point Break" (2015) as "wooden" or "not very good", when in truth it's "textured but subtle" and "full of quiet depth". (Clappy hands here)
Cold! Calculating! The bullets will take Magus out on the way back down, he just doesn't know it yet.
Keanu Reeves can't stop raving about the "Point Break" remake. He says stuff like "It's a film I was in, and then they remade it" and "I'm so happy I got to make a film from another time, and they thought so highly of it, that they made it again in the present time" and "It's a movie that was put on film for people to watch". If this doesn't cinch it as GOAT, I don't know what does.
