lb 4 lb Banned?!?!?!?!

I'm not one to complain about bannings but this one is totally unjustified. lb 4 lb never stirs shit, he's a good poster, he gets along with almost everyone and he gets banned because he posted a link to another fighting website? Seriously, that shit is totally off base. Posting links to other websites is a two way road, that's how I found Fightworld.us a few years ago. I don't think it threatens the website at all, certainly not the forums membership. The owner can disagree and set up his rules, I'd abide to them, but I think banning a member who is not a problem to anyone and is contributing almost daily is way more harmful for this website.

Bring back lb 4 lb.

He is a good regular poster, banning him is preposterous.

It's something like regular spamming of another site that would warrant a banning, not 1 link.

ridiculous. he should have been warned and his posts (with links to other sites) deleted. Cupey doesen't seem to give a shit about the posters here, not even the ones that have been here for years.

 

Cupey openly admits on a regular basis that he doesn't care about the posters. He thinks he has a site without this forum. ::

he was playing around with the deleting of his threads last night, when he typed a certain website's url. But I think it was all in fun, not intentional :dunno:

Yeah, I wasn't around last night. The whole things could have been avoided with a simple PM from Cupey explaining that he doesn't want that sites stuff on our forum... but he always goes delete and ban crazy when someone hurts his feelings. That's why it was important I take over the forums, because Cupey can't do it properly. It hasn't worked because our mod crew was never given any real pull, or any support at all.

 

I am so disgusted that I am refusing to post again until lb 4 lb makes another post.

 

I think some posters will ask for lb4lb's permanent banning now. ::

Wanna know the best part? The whole site was created because Cupey was banned from another forum, and he wanted to start a better one here. One where you aren't going to get banned by a crappy mod.

I don't like Tam that much, but I think he's a good mod. Donny too, but Cupey should stay away from the forums.

 

My name is black, like Cupey's. I'm an admin, which means I can do more than the mods.

The original plan for for Cupey to stay away from the boards. In fact, he gave me his word that he would stay away.

We had good rules in place, but every couple of weeks Cupey would come in and take all of our integrity away on a whim. You can't run a forum with two different sets of rules. Cupey has never been close to observant enough to see that.

 

So why don't you guys just bring lb 4 lb back and let bygones be bygones?

Seriously, everytime I post something from another sight, I post a link along with it. Usually it's MMA stuff or news related, but I thought general message board ettitquite said if you post something from another site, you give credit and post a link.

God forbid we work with other sites and not against them. I've said for months we should hook up with an MMA site and cross promote, since many fans of MMA are fans of boxing, and vica versa.

But I guess instead we'll just keep banning and losing members until there's nothing left.

Anyone know of any other good message boards we can all migrate to when this place finally swallows itself?

Exactly. lb 4 lb has been on boxing boards for as long as I can remember. This place has like 7 or 8 regular posters now.
