After Watching Miranda's Bout w/Howard Eastman the Other Night on CLASSIC, REED is even MORE Impressed w/Pavlik's KO...

Initially,REED hadn't Seen Enough of Miranda to Argue w/those Who Said he was "Weight Drained" or "Not Himself" N the Pavlik Fight...

But The Eastman Bout Shows REED that Miranda WAS Himself...Pavlik is just the Superior Fighter...

When Eastman was CLOSE to Miranda & OFFENSIVE Minded,Miranda's Power WASN'T All that...When Eastman BACKED UP Miranda,he was Extremely INeffective...

It was Only when Eastman was On the Defensive &/or Cornered,that Miranda was MOST Effective...

Miranda was even VISIBLY HURT a Couple Times N this Fight...

REED has NO Doubts that Kelly Pavlik & his Trainer FORMULATED their Gameplan Based MOSTLY on the Eastman Fight...

Instead of DIScrediting his Win,REED Thinks Kelly Pavlik DESERVES Props from EVERYBODY...Edison Miranda's Performance WAS NOT Compromised that Night...He just LOST to a Better Man...

Some of us knew Pavlik would KO Miranda.

Miranda was pretty hurt the round prior to knocking out Eastman. Guys with poor footwork like Miranda are always deadmeat when they retreat or pick up their feet.

Against boxers, they get clowned and run out of the ring (see Pounced On De Leon vs Callabero, Miranda vs Pavlik).

Allan Green didn't have much success, but I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that he put Miranda down when Miranda was moving away from him.

 

I agree. Pavlik said before and after the fight that Miranda couldn't fight going backwards and that he would put the pressure on. That's exactly what he did.

 

i'm not saying Miranda is no better than Mayorga, but like the Nicaraguan, he can't do shit backing up. the book is out on him. when you fight Miranda, stand your ground, don't hang out on the end of his punches, and don't let him rest by moving around and letting him control the pace. apply pressure, keep inside his heavy shots, and bang away.

:nono: I'm not sold on Pavlik though, particularly if he's fighting someone as capable as the brilliant Jermaine Taylor next, Pavlik's defence is appaulling, for example he let Miranda hit him in the head 6 times in a row on one occasion, at the end of round 5 I think it was, wtf?, he freezes up, signaling vunerable lapses of concerntration. Pavlik is distinctively slow of hand and foot aswell, custom made for Jermaine's dominating piston jab and superior fluidity in other words, it'll be one of Taylor's easier defences. :crafty: REED's token gesture bandwagon will be short-lived, Jermaine Taylor is p4p number 1, cock-bouncing on Fraud Mayweather's skull like a pogo stick in superiority, he's earned it, he's proven it, and there's nothing any other middleweight is going to do about it.

miranda looked like shit from round 1. i'd still pick taylor to beat pavlik.

 

I just hope they fight. If Taylor wins, good for him. He'd put to rest a lot of the critisism that he won't face punchers and he only fights small guys.

As it happens, I regard the building up of Pavlik, particularly by Reed, as suspect to say the least.

Reed used to be on WLads nuts, saying that Wlad was the future and he was amped for Wlad, when Wlad lost to Sanders Reed was over at Eastside shooting his mouth off.:nono:

Pavlik is being built up so he can be pulled down again later. By a lot of people at that too.

Miranda was as drained as the Mojave when he lost that night. He displayed all the classic symptoms of it too. End of story.

 

Is that why he was still firing back the round he was stopped in?

Weight drained my arse, he looked no different to the eastman fight, just in with a much better, harder hitting opponent.

I doubt pavlik makes 160 too easily either, he obviously just trains well. He is almost 6'3, and while he is skinny, he is not Chico skinny. He is a big bastard at 160.

 

Funny that only guys who picked Miranda seemed to notice anything different about him that night. I don't give a fuck what his excuse was, if he can't make 160 don't fucking fight in that division. He wouldn't have shit about the weight. He would have called out Taylor immediately and stayed at 160.

He hit Pavlik enuff to suggest that Pavlik left enuff of room for Miranda to get some work done. I refuse to believe that Pavlik is any tougher or stronger or resilient than the likes of Abraham or Eastman.
