Also mention if there are some who you pick over prime Ali. I would pick Ali over them all but the ones that would have the best chance of upset are as follows (styles play a big part)

    1. Lennox Lewis
    2. Larry Holmes
    -------------------
    3. Wlad Klitschko
    4. Mike Tyson
    --------------------
    5. Joe Frazier
    6. Vitali Klitschko
    --------------------
    7. Riddick Bowe
    8. Evander Holyfield

Shit, 1966-1969. They were prime years...and Horrible Henry was still stopping him with 1 left hook.

In fact, it happened much earlier, in the rematch Henry had no chance.

I think Ali peaked in 1966-67

As far as I'm concerned: Cooper knocked Ali out in the first fight.
Ali would not have been allowed to dance and run like he did in 66-67 concerning old time referees, so it is hard to say.
Had he fought Louis or Marciano as he did Foreman and Frazier 3, they both would have had a great opportunity there.

Also; even had he not been banned from boxing for those years, I still think Frazier would have beaten him no matter what the situation was back then.

How is that? Ali got up in tim and the bell ended the round. The break between rounds lasted just THREE SECONDS extra time, it had no meaning for the fight.

When was moving around not allowed? Certainly not the time Jersey Joe Walcott fought Louis. In fact, in the old days fouling was much more common than it then became

Stick to boxing discussion here, little man.
If you have a different opinion that's fine, otherwise take it to a different forum.
Ali was not the greatest heavyweight ever, and he wasn't the greatest fighter ever, either.

Your info is wrong, Ugotabe Kidding.
Ali should have been sent out right then and there, or have been dq'd.

I have the fight on tape (which I purchased from Dubblechin some years back). According to him and which I believe too, the tape is not edited. In there yu can see that Dundee complains about Clay's glove, but it is not replaced and the brak lasts 63 seconds and not more (I timed it myself). I have heard the myths about the fight being delayed but that never happened. Have you seen the fight yourself at all?

Yes I have and that fight was stopped for a couple of minutes while guys went back to the dressing room to look for more gloves.
You can watch all the ESPN you want, all the HBO you want and repeat what announcers say, and it is revisionist history, and innacurate at that.
Cooper also has a completely different take than the situation you just described as well.
Ali should have been disqualified, and his ass was saved by Angelo who has admitted to tearing that glove open.

I can only believe what I have seen and in tapes I have seen that never happened, I guess I just have to leave it at that.

But is this really your case? One fight where Clay was and up-and-comer and got careless and it proves he wasn't all that? To me that is weird considering that we have no idea how the break (had there been one) would have changed the outcome

You can watch all the doctored crummy tapes you want to, and even Angelo admitted it was a two minute plus break in the action.
    Buy his book.
That is my final word on this matter.

Ali IMO is the greatest fighter & best HWY OAT.
    However;
    Lewis
    Tyson
    Wlad
    Holmes

would give him the most (in order) hell.

Never. A stationary, dulled-reflexes Ali gave PRIME Frazier all he could handle for 15 rounds and had turned Frazier's face into a swollen bloody mess...and sent him to Hospital for a few weeks.

The Ali of the Williams/Foley/Liston fights beats Frazier 10 times out of 10.

Lennox Lewis beats any version of Ali.

 Mike Tyson is fucken overrated, no way he beats any version of Ali, or Frazier for that matter. Tyson was merely a flash in the pan, that came along in the weakest era of heavyweight history, that's it. When the 90's came along, he wasn't even the 4th best fighter. Fuck Tyson, he may be America's favourite heavyweight, but he wasn't even Top 15 all-time.

Those fighters you mentioned slystaff were over the hill when Ali got ahold of them.
Joe was busted up because Ali traded with him, had he not traded and tried to pick and poke and juke and jive a muscular and very strong young athlete on his ass, Joe wouldn't have been busted up.
