Foreman could not fight against someone with a good jab, he just never knew how to overcome it, on the other hand liston was scared as fuck of Ali's talk, and I can see Foreman getting in his head. Both guys are their to hit, Foreman is stronger, Liston would land at a higher rate...and I think he'd finish the job Ron Lyle started and win by KO
DAMN! Tough one to pick. Could go either way. Foreman of the LYLE fight was NOT the undefeated super confident Foreman of '74 so citing that fight is ridiculous. Nevertheless, both George and Sonny hit the canvas in this one. George survives though...barely...
there is nothing different about the George of the Lyle fight. If you believe Foreman's drivel about how he was mentally ruined, you should be committed. He is the biggest liar in the universe, do u also think he planned to get his ass kicked against Moorer and then land a miracle? Foreman just started fighting people who matched up better with him. Ali was the first, and Young, and Lyle, and Frazier. It was all styles, and Liston's style would give him HUGE problems
