Difficult to see Campbell having much of a chance, but he isn't a total scrub either. He is an Olympic champion and the #2 contender according to The Ring. Furthermore he is tall, rangy, has some snap in his punches and might cause Loma some stylistic problems the way Linares did.

Out of Campbell's two losses one was a split decision against Linares and the other one against tough Yvan Mendy he made up in a rematch. The problem is that Mendy is probably his best win so far and he has been on
the floor several times. Even though Loma isn't a banger, it doesn't sound too good for him.

Loma will probably start slow again and I see this being pretty even for like 4-5 rounds before Lomachenko takes over and finishes it in 10th or marches to a clear UD win.

On undercard Hughie Fury will face Alexander Povetkin in a fight that is very probably dreary but possibly quite competitive between a pussy and a has-been

Never seen Campbell in action so I can't gauge his chances but I like watching Lomachenko fight regardless of opponent.

I think it'll be reasonably competitive early on before Loma takes over.

Will be interesting because of the height difference. But I don’t see a scenario where Loma doesn’t neutralize everything Campbell does and take him to school.

Brits have been failing all year in boxing - the trend will continue.

In fairness, trends or no trends, Brits could be winning left and right and it would make no difference here.

This has a near-fatality written all over it.

Campbell has no business in the ring and his coach is an utter dullard called Shane McGuigan.

When I say Campbell has no business in the ring, I mean he shouldn't be fighting ANYBODY.

He's always got this spooked scared look on his face. He doesn't take power shots well. He responds badly. He boxes by numbers and has this awkward mechanical clunky style.

The only thing that might help him is that Lomachenko is aware of the Dadashev fatality and seems to have taken it on board.

I see Campbell getting badly smashed up in there on Saturday night.

I don't think it will be. Campbell is a mook. He's not even a leap amateur as he can't leap. He's a clunky tin man. He's easy to hit. He responds badly.

I think he's getting bashed in there.

Campbell wouldn't be able to handle Loma's hippity hopness

Campbell is solid but very straight up and down as Floyd would put it, he might be tall and has an ok jab but he's not rangy or awkward and he's not going to to Vernon Forrest Lomachenko

Exactly I do not see any slickness or mad power or awkwardness to him

    He's a fragile beanpole.

    He's getting ragered.

Based upon Irish's posts in this thread I'm getting the feeling he believes Lomachenko will defeat Campbell.

    Cool video Reed.

For the record, I believe Joshua-Klitschko was the most recent "unification" fight with a vacant title on the line prior to this one.

What a fucking idiot eh? Some other fuck chatting shit now.

Charlie Edwards is a mook. But Martinez is one of the dumbest shit of all time.

HE HAD HIM........and he landed a full blooded shot when the guy was on his knees. He had to stoop to hit him.

    Clown.

That was a dumb shot by Martinez. I can see how it happens though in the heat of the moment. Still, it must be gutting to lose a title like that.

It wasn't heat of the moment. Edwards couldn't have been closer to the canvas not if he was painted onto the fucking thing by Van Gogh. The guy had ample time and threw a stupid punch.

Fury knows what he is doing and is a great defensive boxer who knows how to not get his head kicked in. It's a rarity in this era. But he's got a dead man in front of him, Povetkin is 40 years of fucking age. Fury just has no idea how to launch an offensive assault to take advantage of that. It's a major limitation.
