LORENZO: “PAVLIK AND ME WOULD BE A WARâ€￾

NEW YORK, NY (May 24, 2007) – World Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor remains on the top of undefeated middleweight contender Giovanni Lorenzo’s wish list, but there is another fighter that he would like to challenge: Kelly Pavlik.

Marvellous. Another bum in the finest traditions of Paul Pauli Peter Vinny Gino Maddalone Malinaggi.

When is Duddy going to kick the shit out of Lorenzo? When is the next available St Patricks Day???

Cameron Dunkin and I were talking about who Pavlik might have to fight for the soon to be vacant WBC title. Lorenzo's name was the first one I mentioned, and makes the most sense stateside. the only fighter in the way would be some Armenian cat (forget his name), who is ranked #3 or 4. Lorenzo is #5, Pavlik is #1, Miranda is #2 for the moment but will drop. Winky is either 3 or 4 (whatever rank the Armenian isn't), but is fighting at 170 in his next fight.

Pavlik-Lorenzo would be a great HBO fight for however long it lasts, though it wouldn't be for very long

    Its real simple Jake.

    There's Arthur Abraham.

    And then there's everybody else.

no, not him. I'm talking about fighters ranked by the WBC. Arthur is the IBF titlist.

Khoren Gevorgyan is the guy's name

Khoren Gevor. Interesting. He´s also the WBO mandatory. Universum probably wants Taylor to be stripped. It worked with Sturm and the WBA. By the looks of the WBO ranking. Pantera #1, Winky #3, Pavlik #4, Sturm #7, Gevor could be looking at guys like Gary Lockett (?) or Joey Gilbert (??????????).

By the way latest on Abraham is he wants the rematch with Miranda in August, big open air fight in Berlin and then his next bout to be in America in November. Though I have my doubts Miranda will ever make 160 again.

The other way around. Abraham ruined Miranda´s confidence. Pavlik is the guy taking on Clubber and Drago after Rocky took their best shot and their confidence. If they ever did a spin-off with Clubber or Drago, that´s where Pavlik would be, beating up broken fighters. :stir: :stir:

I was thinking about this the other day. I figured that Taylor would be stripped soon, so the vacancy came to mind. Never gave Lorenzo much thought. Only seen him fight once. Cant spell the dude's name, Archak or some shit, the shark attack. He looked okay though. It would most likely be a war with a good tko/ko. If HBO was smart, they would put it on the Taylor/Calzaghe undercard.

The Germans know how to put a show on.

Abraham will never see 160 again....bottom line is that guy HADN'T a PICK on him on Saturday night and he couldn't make 160. He was weight drained, and the Pavlikkers know it.

If that's the case, then good. He deserved the beating for picking on "smaller" guys.

Even though Pavlik probably has just as hard a time making 160. The dude is 6' 3".

Bullshit, that's the most common excuse, and the most common action to occur after an arsewhipping, they move up in weight to turn a new leaf, Mitchell did it after the Tszyu rematch, Zab did it after Tszyu, Spinks did it after Zab, Karmazin did it after Spinks, Adamek is planning to go to cruiserweight coz he was 'weight drained' for Dawson  ,..the list goes on and on,..Danny Green did it after Mundine,..etc etc,..eeeeeeevery loser is weight drained,.. and every loser has some excuse.

Maybe Kostya should've moved up after the Vince Phillips fight....Ohh thats right he couldn't...Trinidad, Quartey, Whitaker were the champs at 147, and KOstya would get destroy be all of them...:popcorn:

***If Miranda was struggling to make weight. killing his body to do so. He sure as hell TALK ALOT of shit months, weeks, days, hours before the fight so he was confident he could do it......moving up to 167 won't help, Calslappy and Kessler will give him hell...shit even Mundine could outbox him...LACY vs. MIRANDA would be FUN though..

Mundine would knock Miranda out. He wouldn't need to "outbox" him.

In 1998, when he was making his comeback, he would've totalled Whitaker.

Nope, Kostya was a genuine jr welterweight, he started in his correct weight class, he wasn't a middleweight bullying smaller fighters while his body could handle it, aka 'multi division champions',...:eeeek: I even heard rumours that Cotto is now struggling to make 147!!,...:eeeek: just how big is he, how much more is he hiding Illuminati?..

Cotto was 153 or 154 in May 9-10....struggling no...Kostya knew his limitations...couldn't move up cause 147 was packed....

Whitaker "lost" to DLH before Kostya lost to Phillips. Pernell's only other fight that year was that atrocity of an affair w/ Andrei Pestriav. Pernell stunk out the joint en route to a split decision (capped by Pestriav's promoter flipping out over a WBA master score sheet that greater resembled a scribble pad  ), then spent 1998 rehabbing.

Ike fought JL Lopez that same night, then after his fight w/ Whitaker was scrapped, also spent all of 1998 without once entering a prize fight.

Considering that James Page found a way to scoop up a title that year (against Pestriav), I'd like to believe that Kostya could've weaved his way to the top as well, if he wanted to.

If Felix Sturm is a Bosniak, and Stipe Drews is an Ustashe, then how come they both represent Germany??

If Sinan Samil Sam is a Turk, how come he represents.....Germany...with Turkish flags in attendance??

If Vanes Martirosyan is an American, why does he have an Armenian name and Armenian nationality??http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanes_Martirosyan

    :dunno:

Abraham has a German passport btw
