This is great news. If Ma gets knocked out 25 times, I will curse him for not making 26. He keep fighting MAB.

Well, he has lost to almost every great fighter he fought like Duran so it is a strong suggestion. Even in his new emasculated style, his fights are much more watchable than the human octopus Duran.

Just how old are you Ike?

Roberto Duran is at LEAST one of the top ten guys P4P of all time, and you talk of him like he is John Ruiz or something.

    Do you even watch boxing?

Try to follow along. I don't know what made shit like P4P means. I have unfortunately suffered through almost all Duran's televised fights and in my opinion he was a highly skilled version of Ricky Hatton. I like fighters that fight. Duran jumped people like a bar brawler. He was a great fighter. He had some great fights as well like against Hearns and Joppy. I just don't get the reverence he gets. He was not exciting to watch.

The fights you list......Hearns and Joppy...were WELL past Duran's prime age AND weight.

How many fights have you watched Duran fight at his prime weight and age?

Roberto Duran fighting Hagler to a close decision is tatamount to Shane Mosely fighting Bernard Hopkins to a close decision.

I know that. I didn't say he wasn't a great fighter. You just made my point. Hagler/Duran is an unwatchable fight. I doubt you haver seen it. You are just another cheerleader who reads Bert Sugar instead of watching the fights yourself.
Duran's fight with Barkley was good although Duran got a gift. Most of his fights were boring, imo, not all just the majority.

    LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Dude.

I am 42 years old and watched the fight live over at my girlfriend's house because she had satillite. Back when having a satillite was having that HUGE 12 ft. DISH in your backyard.

    I remember plenty.

Granted, it wasn't that great of a fight to watch, BUT it was monumental that a guy who fought as a lightweight just 5 year prior to that, could move up and push a monster like Hagler to the limit.

some people just perpetually exude ignorance. duran-barkley wasn't merely a "good fight".

it was by far more exciting/entertaining than any fight inwhich oscar delahoya ever participated. duran vs sims was quite a barnburner as well. then again, who am I to argue with a chap who has pond water for brains.

I think Rap music is ass too, Ike.

But if you don't understand the brilliance of Roberto Duran,.....he's right, ...you must have pond water for brains.

Ike, you're my friend and all, but these continued exaggerations regarding Duran have just got to stop.

I mean, Double L should be barred from Castillo related discussion. And given your recent record, the treatment should be similar to you for all things Roberto Duran.

It is funny seeing people get butthurt about the Duran rants, but he's very exciting as a fighter, and these allegations of boredom are ridiculous. I mean nobody is fun to watch when they hit 40...nobody.

The LW-WW duran was a very exciting fighter.

IMO Ike is completely correct about Duran. I can't see him being exciting at all. He grapped and dry-humped his opponents worse than Ruiz and break every other rule of the book too and still lost handily to pretty much all the great fighters he faced and plenty of others too. He gets mad props for his two questionable Ws (Leonard and Barkley). The only reason these wrong decisions don't get more criticized is because it was Roberto "The hands of Hump" in there and he happened to edge two assholes.

Duran was a succesful fighter. Exciting he was not. One of the best ever he was hell not.

Thank you. I am glad somene else is objective. Duran was "Padre de John Ruiz" or "The father of John Ruiz." He was a dirty cheating humpbag. I am giving my honest opinion. I feel the same way about Hagler. He was boring as fuck as well. Yeah, I know. Hagler/Hearns was the greatest fight of all time. I know. Duran/Barkley was the greatest fight of all time. Anyway, it seems to me those exceptions have logical answers. Hearns and Barkley were rarely in boring fights.

BTW, Barkely/Duran was a disgusting robbery. Duran was impressive being fat, old and uneducated and surviving. He dropped Barkely late. He still lost by AT least 3 rounds and he got the gift of his life. It was a tough fight. I am surprised Mr. Tough guy didn't say he had to take a shit.

I guess MAB wants to be retarded by the time he actually retires. This guy has been in too many wars to be fighting for another 5 years.
