Pretty good. I wonder why Barker pulled out? http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid29318049001?bctid=610121241001
Understatement of All Time: "Ricky Hatton Has Now Stopped Boxing".....well you don't fucking say, Frank. :laugh11: Barker is not ready for Macklin, is probably why he pulled out.
and yet look how many fights fell out from this card alone. This card came in with great ambition, but has already fallen way short on delivery. Not that everyone didn't already predict it would be the case, Warren being involved and all.
Not so sure slice. I've got a funny feeling Dilks is going to beat him, but my funny feelings hardly ever make sense ::
Two of the worst non-punchers to fight for a British Title. Chisora also tries to carry off the hard-man cool-dude routine too hard. He needs to remember that he is the British Samuel Peter. Sexton........pah. Beat Martin Rogan...barely. Best fight on that card is Jennings vs Brooks.:warning:
DeGale was tight at the weight, needed I think two attempts, and there have been concerns raised about his dedication. So yes he will win easily.:boring: Seriously, I don't know, He has a big frame and might find it hard to be making weight regardless of who he trains with or where.
How many fell out? Barker pulled out' Pretty damn good card compared to some of the crap we fans have been dealt so far this year. Nathan Cleverly v Karo Murat Enzo Maccarinelli v Alexander Frenkel Dereck Chisora v Sam Sexton Kell Brook v Michael Jennings Matthew Hall v Lukas Konecny Matthew Macklin v Shalva Jomardashvili Frankie Gavin v Michael Kelly Don Broadhurst v Najah Ali James DeGale v Carl Dilks
Johnny Nelson loves Kell Brooks to steal the show. Always good to be endorsed by an expert, who doesn´t know your name. :Giggle:
That Dilks stoppage was kind of lame. Degale was landing on the arms or not at all. I they young Mr. Hall is going to taste the canvas here.
DeGale is fucking awesome, as I said before. Early stoppage maybe but there was only going to be one winner. Can't wait till he's on the world stage smashing up the big names. CHUNKY.
I hope it happens, DeGale will fuck him up. By the way, never thought I'd ever say this, but big credit to Frank Warren for putting on the best, most stacked card I've watched in years :bears:
It was a great night of Boxing! IMO best fight of the night had to be Cleverly v Murat followed by Chisora v Sexton.
I was very impressed with Konecny. He took a bomb from Hall that would have ko'd a horse before dropping him and did not even flinch.
If they do another Mag 7 , they should definitely put Cleverly/Brähmer for the WBO title as the headliner. Universum is a homeless promoter and will have no resources to contest a decent offer. Since Universum is desperate anyway and Dimitrenko is the European heavyweight champion, that would be the next logical step for Chisora. Konecny vs. Rhodes would be interesting for the undercard. It was definitely appreciated that they put together a deep entertaining card. If you bang out the bouts in quick succession, even a long card can be good. Cleverly vs. Brähmer (WBO light-heavyweight title) Konecny vs. Rhodes (European jr. middleweight title) Dimitrenko vs. Chisora (European heavyweight title) I wouldn´t even care about the other four match-ups and watch.
