LAS VEGAS (October 8, 2008) – World-class junior welterweight Paulie “The Magic Manâ€￾ Malignaggi (25-1, 5 KOs) took some time off from his Las Vegas TRAINING CAMP to offer his views on subject ranging from his November 22nd showdown against Ricky Hatton to abdicating his IBF title and a lot in between.

I'm pretty torn on this fight. Some days I'm thinking Paulie will win, other days Hatton. Either way both guys are nearing the ends of thier careers. Hatton, due to his age and style, and Paulie because of his hands.

Tim Bradley would take both these guys.

Malignaggi's not one of junior welterweight elite, IMO. He'd lose to more than just Bradley.

The only question is how much Hatton has left. If he wins, no matter how faded, or whether deserved or not, he's probably fighting DLH in May.

I had a dream last night where my friends and I kept making fun of Malignaggi for lack of punching power over and over again. He got mad at hit my friend and then we laughed even harder. I woke up laughing.

I think it will be alright....Hatton won't be wary of any power comin from Mallinaggi so hopefully won't look to grab so much....and that could help him, often i think he is stifling his own attacks by doing that crap

My worry for Ricky is the training and the weight.....this is a big fight, and to change trainer, after going 40 plus fights with Graham has got to be a concern....Hatton had a routine to get his weight down, hopefully that isn't spoilt......Kerry Kays helped Hatton get down to 140, and he's gone too....Hatton by now should know what he has to do, but as he gets older he may need to make further dietry adjustments, i wonder if he has the advise around him to ensure that

i think Hatton really has to be a stinky animal in there or Paulie will make him look silly...i keep thinking he's lost a step though, so will be interesting to see

Originally I thought the Hatton/Mayweather sr. combo wouldn't work because of the styles. But eveything I read on their progress seems to be going acording to plan.

I am interested in seeing how that works out come fight night. :bears:

    Or the Stinkfist.

Maybe they could even get Tool to play their ringwalks.

Either way, it won't be pretty.
