No way, Pac gets stopped. Even Margarito had success when he got Pac against the ropes. LaMotta would bull him to the ropes and hurt Pac VERY badly with body shots and non-stop aggression.
In a 15 rounder Lamotta would stop him. This is competitive but Lamotta would manhandle him inside. Jake was harder to hit than the legend has it. He had a way of stuffing his opponents punching room and getting off his own hurtful shots. Pacquiao needs midrange to be effective. Lamotta wouldn't let him have it.
I guess all these threads are an attempt to find Pacquiao's breaking point --- since he keeps re-writing what people would like to think are his limits. I wonder if we'll ever come across a fighter here who we by-&-large agree Pacquiao could beat, but for whom represents his ultimate end-fight --- the last great, large rival he can beat, but go no further than. Why don't we skip to the chase here & nominate that man? That's really what these threads are all about exploring, in the end.
