Chavez too sturdy for that in my book, but Pacquiao would mete out more damage than he'd receive. An 8-4 type decision in my book. Chavez, at times, would really test Pacquiao --- just not enough for the nod.

this is what I was thinking as well. I don't think there's a fighter in history I'd pick to knock out/stop any non-shot version of Chavez.

Yeah, me neither honestly. But I would favor Pacquiao, big time.

A few years ago i went with Chavez but am starting to lean towards Manny now. he's proved he's been able to fight going backward, turn and counter punch just as well as being the aggressor.

It would be an absolutely awesome fight though.

I would like to point out though that, as HutHut always says, Pac is seldom matched up with fighters who have good straight right hands... and when he has, he has struggled mightily

Chavez's best punch was his straight right hand

pacquiao has looked great lately, but he has never convincingly defeated anyone close to the level of talent possessed by a prime Chavez.

I agree with the consensus that Chavez quits before Pacman can KO him

Barrera was a terrific fighter, but he was not on Chavez's level

Chavez was stronger, had a much better chin, heavier hands and eveyr bit as much as skill

Neil only required someone close to being on Chavez's level. Barrera is there.
