    [FONT=&quot]ANTONIO MARGARITO - Three-Time Welterweight Champion

"Like you all know, I'm ready for any type of fighter and my history has proven it."

"I respect everyone I face and I know Shane is an amazing fighter."

"We are working very hard so that I can come in at one hundred percent. We want to do things right."

"Almost two years ago we were offered this fight and for some reason it didn't come through, but I always wanted it to happen because of the type of fighter Shane is."

It's all good and nice that Margarito respects everyone he fights, but if he ever does lure that little shit PBF into the ring, he better start talking shit.

Even if PBF agreed to fight Tony at this point, he'll still be guilty of having ducked him for years. Here's hoping Tony calls him on it.

Floyd will never fight him. Floyd would rather fight the Big Show in a steel cage, no rules, than fight Margarito.

and "why" will he never fight him (would just like to hear someone else echo what I'm convinced of which is that PBF is scared shitless of Tony)?

There is no debating it. The ENTIRE boxing world knows damn well that he took the easy way out when he was offered 8 million dollars to fight Margarito and he opted to fight Baldomir for $8,000,001 instead.

Anyone want to disagree that Margarito is a far better fighter than Baldomir? I doubt it. The money was there, and a chance at something better than a lousy fucking belt was there, respect. Had Floyd taken on Margarito I'd have far more respect for him as would a lot of fans.

I thought Floyd got 12 million for Baldomir and was offered 8 million for Margarito?

and it's not like he gave baldomir a beating either. there were some shaky moments for pbf when he actually tried to fight him. of course he took the decision easily after he resorted to his puss-fighting.

and by the way, if he pussy-fought Tony to a winning decision, i'd be impressed and give pbf all the credit. Margarito cannot be out-boxed. Just ask Cotto.

The key to William's razor thin win was that he fought Margarito. Movement, fighting off the back foot, "out-slicking him?" Doesn't work against the tireless welterweight king.

One dollar more than was offered for Margarito.

and recall that pbf's supporters defnded his decision since baldomir was the linear champ at the time. linear/shminear. did anyone actually believe that baldomir was better than margarito? or that this linear-crap has any meaning except when it works to pbf's convenience?

He may get stopped. I'm a little worried because of the way he looked against Mayorga. He really looked bad in that fight. Shane doesn't even hit as hard as Cotto so you can pretty much rule out a KO. I really think he's taking a beating in this one.

Who knows though, as I watched Oscar and Pacman get in the ring I told everyone watching it with me we were about to see sanctioned Midget abuse. Boy was I wrong there. haha

Linear doesn't mean anything unless you are criticizing RJJ's or PBF's resume:shit::shit:

yeah, I'm a closet fan of mosley in the sense that I'm indifferent about him. Associating with Free Ike I play the role of defending him every time his name comes up, but I'm worried about his health in this fight.

I mean, he's going to get stopped, I've never been more sure of something in my life

On paper it means something sure. Looking at who he fought for that distinction is laughable. Especially considering who he could have fought instead.

Based on the Mayorga fight, I would have to agree. I've always been a Mosley fan too, he's a good guy and a good fighter. He's a bit past it for this one though.

if Mosley manages to move Tony backwards (necessary for his body attack to be effective) he could have success.

I've said it beore but it can't be overemphasized that a fighter who needs to be set to punch will always suffer Tony's wrath.

Mosley doesn't fall under this category but his combination punching has been nearly eplaced with a pot-shot hit and hold. he will take a profound beating against tony if he does this.

mosley needs to accept he's going to take a beating and take one that gives him achance to win.

Floyd had never held all the belts in one division until that fight, also, Floyd weighed 145 for all his fights at welter except one and only fought 140 pound fighters at that weight. He was not a true welter when you look at the champs coming in closer to 160 fight night and Floyd at 145

Its all good and dandy Margaro actually took a big fight and won against Cotto. But at that time, Baldomir had as much claim to get the big fights if not more, you know, for actually winning a fight that meant something other than having maxboxing and some idiots in a boxing forum claiming you the big bad feared monster.

So you think Judah was the elite of 147?

The bottom line is Baldomir sucks! Margarito is a FAR better fighter. No doubt.

Is it just me or does it not seem a bit soon for Mosley to go right back into camp again? He just barely got done with the Mayorga fight and if the Margarito fight is Jan 24 then Shane must need to go to camp very soon if he has started already. I'm all for guys fighting more often but I don't know if that is a good or bad thing for a guy Shane's age.

What do you guys think. Will it help him or hurt him to have camps and fights that close together?

Well, correct me if i'm wrong but the layoff between cotto and mayorga was his longest possibly since he started, and his timing looked awful, he looked awful full stop. Mosley seems like a gym rat and he's nearly done, he may as well be as active as possible for remaining paydays
