I'll take Breland. Breland may have been chinny but he had a ton of heart. He was too aggressive for his own good at times but I think that could work in his favor for this fight. I think Breland's speed and boxing skills would make Cintron go into a shell like he did against Margarito. Then again Breland could walk into a shot like he did against Aaron Davis and fold like a tent.
i'll go with Cintron. i think he's very under-rated right now, based solely on his loss to Margarito. i think he knocks Breland out.
Cintron. Breland was a great amatuer, but a very overrated pro. He was faster than Cintron, but so am I, but Breland was a slow fighter with shitty punching technique and average power. Plus, he was easily one of the most fragile fighters I have ever seen. I just remember the Davis and Vaca fights. In the Davis fight, Breland got backhanded by a jab and was on Queer street between Rubio Mhs and Juan Marquez boulevard. Cintron, for all his faults, is at least strong and a very good puncher. He stops Breland even if he falls behind.
Have you seen Breland fight? He was trash and chinny trash. Had he fought Margarito, he'd have been out in in the first round. The guy nearly died against Jorge VACA.
Against Suarez? He beat the shit outta him. I'm not even sure he had any rough moments (like against Estrada), let alone "looked like complete shit." I'd probably talke Kermit in this one, and by knockout. Whatever was the case with Margarito, I think it made Kermit a better fighter. If that one spooked him, it'd have shown last year. It hasn't. He may never ever beat Margarito, Shane, Floyd or what have you, but he beats the best of the rest - take away Breland's amateur credentials, and that's all he ever really was.
My bad , I meant the Estrada fight ... Cintron was lucky to get the W .. His hands were so slow , they made Baldomir's hand speed look like Sugar Ray Leonard ..
I doubt Cintron is as tough as Aaron Davis(or as durible) and definately not as skilled as Starling, I'd go with Breland.
For real, you thought he looked bad ??? I felt that apart from the first round, where he looked shaky and unsure, it was a damn good performance from Cintron, and he showed some heart too.
Interesting fight. I could see Breland winning, cause he was quicker and more skilled, but I cant help but think as soon as Kermit lands, Breland goes down faster than an Atlantic City hoe. Cintron by KO.
Best post in here... Sometimes I wonder if anyone is actually old enough to remember watching Breland fight.. He was always a big shot away from death...
