No. Anybody can be hurt, especially by Jackson but Hagler could win this one even if he chose to trade.
No. Jackson could put up a decent fight if it's the faded 86-87 Hagler, before eventually getting grinded down. However, if we're talking the early 80s Hagler, then Jackson gets stopped inside of 6 in a one sided thrashing.
Jackson doesn't have much to work with here. He can't win by taking his time and boxing with Hagler. His only shot is to jump on Marvin and hurt him early but Marvin would go right with him. Jackson can land a shot and hurt Marvin but Marvin, like he did against Mugabi and Hearns, won't show it or let it distract him. He will hit Jackson back and Marvin could punch a little bit, too. And it would hurt and Julian would show it and the fight would end shortly thereasfter.
You Have to Bring MORE Than Just a Puncher's Chance to Beat Hagler & Julian Jackson Unfortunately DOESN'T... REED
Hagler is too strong and has more ability. Jackson is one of my favorites but he cannot win in a fire fight, and a fire fight is his only chance. He’s not gonna outbox or outsmart Marvin. He can’t outlast him either. The only thing Jackson can do is get into a war and try to catch him with a big right hand that turns the fight in his favor but I just cannot see it. Hagler KO 6
