Would be a bombs away war as both men were psycopath who tried to take their opponents heads off with every punch. I think that Hilton has the better chin, but Benn is bigger and stronger. The longer it goes, the more he should be able to dominate, but i'm not sure he survives the early rounds.
Benn stops Hilton within 6 in basically a replay of Benn-Dewitt. At best, Hilton might drop Benn. But Benn would get up and proceed to beat the living shit outta Matty Boy.
That's how I see it mostly. Benn using his strenght and size to maul hilton, while getting stunned once in a while by a hilton flurry. If hilton is not able to get him out of here in the first 3 rounds, it would end very badly for him.
It'd take a lot to get Benn out of there early. Hilton wasn't good enough to pull it off. A puncher like Jackson or Hearns could take out Benn early, but not Hilton. A more even matchup would be Hilton vs Ayala.
Early in his career, I think that benn was very vulnerable, and I could see Hilton koing him (In fact, I would pick Hilton against the Benn that was nearly koed By Logan). But I agree that the chance of Hilton koing the more seasoned benn are rather slim. as for ayala, I don't think we have enough info on him to appraise him.
I don't think he beats any Benn. I mean, Hilton had a solid chin, but he never faced a puncher. I guess Buster Drayton was the only one who really tested his chin. Benn is easily one of the 10 biggest punchers in the history of 160. Plain and simple just too big, and powerful for Hilton. PLUS....... Hilton had some front runner in him. He was by no means as vicious, and willing to give it all as Benn was.
I don't know, at this time, Benn was a pretty bad fighter. There wasn't a punch he couldn't avoid. But it's a rather moot point, since we both agree that a prime Benn should be a big favorite.
