Looks like this will be on the Mayweather-Maidana 2 undercard.

Does anybody think that Broner can win this one?

No, I think Broner gets thumped and probably stopped.

Wow. Gotta give Broner credit for taking on Mathysse. Hard to imagine he doesn't lose but Mathysse is smaller than Maidana, no doubt about it.

My first instinct was Broner gets stopped, then I wondered why he managed to last 12 with Maidana.

Either way, he's surely getting a guid ol' thumping.

Funny thing. I am a Matthysse fan. When people were predicting Garcia-Matthyse, 95% here were predicting Matthysse to win. I wasn't so sure about it. I actually picked a draw.

Now for Matthysse-Broner, most here believe Matthysse will wipe this guy out. Like I said, I am a fan of his but I am not so sure. Molina Jr. dropped Matthysse twice and was getting to him. Garcia showed he can be outboxed. I want matthysse to blow this scumbag out and embarrass him. But I think it will be more competitive than most people here.

The truth is I wouldn't be that surprised. I've never been as high on Lucas as others on Fightbeat. The best he's ever looked was destroying Peterdude. Other than that, I've never been that impressed with the guy. He's looked good, but not quite the beast that some people see.

Still, I can't see Broner winning. Broner basically sucks balls, and doesn't seem very effective at all at > 135.

Molina can bang I haven't seen that type of power from broner and he isn't slick enough to keep matthysse off him. Garcia had the power to keep mattyhsse honest

Exactly. Muthafucka couldn't even put a dent in Carlos Molina in 10 rounds.

I have a VERY hard time seeing any other scenario besides Matty Ice walking AB down, and pushing his shit in.

This is a career crossroad fight for Broner, I'm curious to see how he'll approach that fight. I believe he has the tools to make it a fight but does he have the smarts and the durability to beat Matthysse? I wouldn't bet on it. It is certainly a fight that I'll watch because I don't think it is a foregone conclusion as most here seems to believe. Matthysse has many holes in his game despite his fight changing power and Broner has proven he can withstand big punishment without being stopped (even though he became quite gunshy against Maidana).

    ^^^this

and Broner would do anything to get closer to Floyd....even throw away his career..UNLESS something has happen to Matthysee since the last time I saw him fight...I don't see Broner surviving a full 36 minutes against him.

I agree, I'm the biggest Lucas fan here (yes, bigger than Xplosive) but Broner is a live dog here.

Hope most of you are right. I like Matthyse and hate Broner. But I just don't see the blowout mismatch that most of you guys see.

Remember, I was one of the few that didn't pick Lucas against Garcia (I picked a draw.) I was also surprised that many of you had Matthysse an overwhelming favorite there.

I favour Matthysse but what crosses my mind is how much his last fight has taken out of him. Probably not much at all. Broner hasn't shown he has solid power at 140/147, so I doubt he'd really be able to hurt Matthysse, plus Broner can be hurt. Matthysse can punch and Broner's defence is not all that it's cracked up to be. Matthysse will land and more than likely would hurt Broner. What Broner has shown though is that when hurt he can fight back strongly. Broner may be able to get to Matthysse late. I like this matchup.
