I wouldn't complain actually. It'd be an OK fight. Ortiz looks far stronger at welterweight.

But the cynic in me just knows that a twice beaten, recent junior welterweight with average hand speed and power & a title is right up Floyd's street for a unification.

Well his first loss was a DQ, so....for me I regard his first loss as the Maidana loss.

And yes, slowish strongmen with chemical infatuations should be right up Floyds alley.

I think he meant "with average hand speed and with power", as opposed to "with average hand speed and power"

Its decent, maybe even above-average. Its not blinding. And he tires in fights and starts to push his shots a bit, "fah-fah"

    I agree with Neil actually.

To be honest, Ortiz's hands didn't look significantly slower than Berto, and he has fairly quick feet too. He is a fast welterweight.

In fact, he's probably faster than Floyd, who has slowed down a lot since moving to welter.

Floyd wins this obviously, but Ortiz is probably his best WW opponent since Oscar.

He slowed down late. In the first half of the fight, that's a very fast welterweight, fast hands AND feet.

If I recall accurately, he was doing the "Fah-Fah Tango" as early as the 4th.

Yep true, that was at 154, but Oscar is essentially a natural welterweight.

I don't see GBP putting Ortiz in there with Mayweather. Mayweather works fight-by-fight with GBP, doesn't he? If he fights Pacquiao, and an Ortiz fight may be a good warm-up fight for Manny with him being a lefty, GBP may not even be involved other than the cut they get from Pacquiao. An Ortiz loss is likely, and it would hurt the great momentum that Ortiz earned yesterday.

I know one thing...Ortiz needs to work on not squaring up and falling in when he throws the straight left. Otherwise it's a short night seeing as Floyd lives on that counter right hand.

Wow. Ortiz isn't faster than Floyd in any sense and they aren't even remotely close.

    Here is the deal:

    Khan techD 6 Bradley

    Khan moves to 147

    Khan fights Ortiz.

Arriza doesn't work with Khan for this one, Ortiz does.

    Ortiz kicks his ass.

Khan suddenly announces a 10 fight comeback tour of Bolton.

    Ortiz DOESN'T Need Mayweather...

A RE w/Berto would B Appealing, The WINNER of Bradley-Khan will EVENTUALLY Move Up in Weight...Miguel Cotto Could Possibly MOVE DOWN in Weight...If Shane Acquits Himself WELL Against Manny Pac, that'd B a Viable Option...Mike Jones is Out There...A RE w/Maidana Maybe...Hell, Erik Morales would Likely MOVE UP Too...Zab...Holt...

Victor Ortiz has LOTS of Options...He REDEEMED Himself from the Maidana Loss, in REED's Opinion...Similar to How Vitali Klitschko Redeemed the "Loss" to Chris Byrd, in the Lennox Lewis Fight...Only Ortiz ActuallY WON Last Night...Oh Yeah, he's a WORLD Champion Now, Too...

Ortiz Can & Will Do JUST FINE w/Out Mayweather...Fuck Floyd...

Yeah...Fuck Floyd and Pacquiao.....unless they are fighting each other or SERGIO Martinez...i don't care to see 'em fight.

Pacquiao and team ALREADY said no to fighting Martinez unless he comes down to 147...:pathetic:

Reed is right- Ortiz has options, of the HBO PPV kind without the Floyd fight......but who makes Ortiz decisions for him? Ortiz himself or Oscar??

Oscar will put a whole load of ideas into his head about immortality and taking Floyd's '0' and throwing all sorts of crazy figures at him.

I didn't see the fight (forgot it was on)..but just read the result on boxrec and it seems as though both men were knocked down twice.

Based on those stats alone I'm assuming that it was a fantastic fight!

    Was this the case?

@ Least Pacquiao is Actually "Thinking about" Boxing Though...He Actually CARES about his Legacy & he Fights TWICE a Year, Minimum, as Opposed to "Retiring" Every 5 Minutes...

Yeah he is fighting twice a year but MOSLEY? Why fight Mosley now? After Mayweather completely dominated him? Pac could have fought him right after the Margarito fight, but wanted Mosley to kill himself going down to 143-144.
    Today 147 is just fine....:cheer:
