At Loftus Road. Pedroza found the Shepherds Bush heat too hot to handle, how would JMM fare?

Pedroza was well past it when Barry got to him. Very similar to Tszyu in the Hatton fight. A prime Pedroza would have taken McGuigan to the cleaners.

In any case, back to the topic, Marquez wins this. McGugian's pressure causes him alot of problems early, but Marquez adjusts and slowly but surely counters the shit outta McGugian.

Please stop with this utter nonsense. People were creaming themselves over his easy demolition of Mitchell, he looked the same as ever. Past it my arse.

That's irrelevant. The point is, people were saying Tszyu looked good. They weren't saying "Yeah Tszyu definitely looked shot there, destroying Mitchell in 3 rounds".

McGuigan was a good fighter and much more skilled and fun to watch than Hatton who has a shameless MMA guy that tried to sexually assault his opponents

he always gives Pedroza a good contest

Yes. That day in the prediction thread it was 98% Tszyu. I and a few others picked Hatton and were laughed at. Some memorable comments:

"Hatton might die tonight." -Steve Dave

"This fight will last as long as Kostya Tszyu wants it to last." -REED

The result of 12 rounds of holding:

    (Tszyu's jaw is broken.)

    :bears:

I think we might have been the only 2 people to pick Hatton, maybe one more person.

    :bears:

People have a severely fucking distorted view of that fight. "Tszyu was shot and Hatton just held him all night". Utter bollocks. As you said, Tszyu was an overwhelming favourite, not considered shot at all, and despite doing a lot of holding, Hatton gave him a beating.

    McGuigan.
Famous for beating an on-the-slide, 32 year old man (when back then, 30 was OLD for being a boxer...and did exactly what after that?
    Fuck-all.
McGuigan's career is slightly better than that of Jim Watt's.

Marquez stops the Leprachaun, mid-fight, via horrible bloody stoppage...

It's retarded to assume that... Marquez never came close to easily defeating a featherweight as good as McGuigan...

Could Salido have beaten McGuigan? I ask because JMM easily dominated him.

I'd rate Pedroza a better boxer than Marquez, frankly, even in decline as he was when McGuigan beat him (it's not like it was particularly close either) ... I'd rate Bernard Taylor a better boxer as well

I think I'd favor JMM but those acting like this is a whitewash are blinded by the Pac fights... JMM is the most overrated fighter in decades, celebrated as this legendary featherweight but if you look to his performances outside Pacquiao (where he lost, for the record) the guy doesn't stack up... He barely beat a washed-up Barrera and lost to Freddie fucking Norwood, for christ's sake
