Great matchup! Close to a pick em, but I'm inclined for favor Mel. The version of Taylor that outclassed McGirt, and nearly beat Chavez would be too much for Tszyu IMO. Although granted Tszyu was a bigger puncher than Chavez, and given Taylor's dodgy defense, Tszyu definitely has a chance. However Tszyu lacked Chavez's chin, toughness, and stamina. And given Taylor's handspeed and activity level, I think he throw off Tszyu for the most part. Taylor by UD.
Tszyu by a narrow decision, aided critically by two knockdowns. Taylor wasn't especially hurt, but he just didn't see those perfectly-timed rights on the incoming. Taylor would have a lot of success, as would Tszyu. Very close fight. Taylor's swiftness & activity against Tszyu's power & sense of timing.
