Ward is the better, more skilled fighter, but I can't help but think Moorer catches him eventually, while behind on the cards. And when Moorer does get him in trouble... one thing Moorer was at 175... a fantastic finisher.
Quite possibly but I'm not sure I'd bet on it. This isn't like a Canelo-Kahn where you just know it's only a matter of time. While Moorer was a bomber at 175 and also a good finisher Ward was crafty and knew how to survive. If Moorer does catch him it would have to be early in a round. One of those matchups where it's either one guy by decision or the other guy by KO.
I wouldn't count Ward out. Moorer had his limitations. If we were talking about Spinks or Roy, I would count Ward out, but he has legit chance of outboxing Moorer.
Andre Ward, who's always confident of beating anyone, regularly gets asked could beat a prime Roy: "I dunno about all that." Fighters think higher of Roy than his haters do.
