My picks in bold. I took out a couple of categories such as knockout of the year and controversial decision of the year because i didn't see all of the fights in question.

Pretty solid lists, so I'll just pick from the choices you offered

    Fighter:
Manny Pacquiao and Cristian Mijares (tied for the moment, though I'm sure more will lean toward Pac)

    Fight:
    Vazquez-Marquez III

Best Win: (Stuck between these five)
    Mijares-Munoz
    Bradley-Witter
    Haye-Maccarinelli
    Campbell-Diaz
    Williams-Quintana II

    Most Controversial Fight:
    Lorenzo-Soto

    Most Controversial Decision:
    Gorres-Darchinyan

    Knockout:
The one category where I'll add my own - for sheer brutality, regardless of competition, Miranda-Banks was pretty damn nasty

    Upset:
    Bunema-Karmazin
    Campbell-Diaz

    Mismatch:
    Pavlik-Lockett

    Prospect turned contender:
    Abner Mares

    Prospect:
    Yuriorkis Gamboa

    Disappointment:
The P.R. war and non-fight between Mikkel Kessler and Edison Miranda
(though perhaps a better choice is 2008 as a whole completely leveling off after March)

:nono: Jake please, I read your "Kessler is ducking Pantera!, I hate Mikkel Kessler!"article, and have wondered till this day why you regard Miranda as supermiddleweight's heir apparent? :nono:

Floyd should be FOTY and his domination of Hatton should be in there

I knew it. Double L doesn't watch boxing! He's like Cupey, he just talks about it like he's seen it before.

holy crap !!! i can't believe i missed that fight !!! dude. trust me. i watch boxing. often i wish i didn't - it's so time consuming and paying for showtime and hbo both isn't exactly convenient. but i must have been in some sort of drug haze during that period. thank God i've emerged intact - partially anyways.
