Does Cotto's massive size advantage win out over the greatest Puerto Rican of are times?

    No.

I think the Ortiz that beat Battling Torres for the junior welter title would completely outclass Cotto.

PBF was a much better fighter than ortiz, and he didn't came close to completely outclass cotto. I think Ortiz wins, but it's competitive.

But then, it's pretty much you MO to ridiculously underrate Cotto. You pick anybody useful to either completely batter him or outclass him, while the only guy that was able to do it was a prime (and very juiced up) Pacquiao

No, I think you're underrating the man who was the consensus 2nd best fighter of all the 60s behind Ali.

Ortiz doesn't get his due credit... Cotto gets more than enough credit.

Ortiz was a much more versatile and intelligent technician than Cotto, and although he wasn't a big puncher, he hard and accurate enough to damage Cotto's face in the long run.

Ortiz was great but I don't think he was the 2nd best fighter of the 60s

You're talking about some serious competition

Off the top of my head, Jofre was better, Saldivar was arguably just as good, Napoles, Olivares, Foster... Shitload of awesome boxers in the 60s

Ortiz was too good all around for Cotto. We're talking about one of the most VERSATILE fighters to have ever put on a pair of gloves.
