Cotto is not a middleweight but neither is Junior. He's just too lazy to put in the work.

Doesn't matter what the weight is though Jr. is not on Cotto's level.

Come off it Hex, Chavez JR? I don't care if Chavez JR is a natural 175 pounder, he's getting whupped by the likes of Cotto.

I agree Chavez Jr isnt special but @160, he would have a huge size advantage over Cotto fightnight.

No doubt, he's much bigger than Cotto, but I kind of feel size works like this.

It's very important, that's why boxing's many weight classes aren't necessary a bad thing. You can find the exact weight class for you, pretty much.

When you get VERY evenly matched fighters, a guy naturally 5 pounds bigger than the other one can make a difference.

But there comes a point when a gulf in ability just completely overrides the size difference.

I've seen Nonito Donaire beat the shit out of an average pro middleweight in sparring, make it look easy. A flyweight.

Cotto stops Chavez JR in 4 or 5 rounds, he's just a different league of fighter.

Cotto has slow down plenty and his punching power is below average at 154....but he is still tooo much for Arum's little prince.

At 160 you can expect Cotto to be slower and his power to be even less effective...but he is still tooo skilled to not beat Chavez..

For the most part they are there to be punching bags....and/or simulate an opponent movement/style without being too aggressive........Nonito with all his skills would not beat Pawel Wolak...and he is as average as you can get...

In some cases you're right, but in this case it was actually tryouts for the contender or something similar, and Nonito beat the crap out of him.

Just read a article that this fight maybe at a catch weight of 155! If this is the case Cotto knocks this clown out within 7 rounds. Good to see this catch weight crap back fire on Roach.

This is a good fight for Cotto. Chavez Jr should be an elite fighters dream fight. Low risk lots of reward.

I think this fight can sell allot of PPV. Low Risk, High Reward for Cotto. For some reason I dont think Arum is willing to sacrifice Chavez Jr. We will see.

Come on Arum is not going to let his future MONEY cow get slaughtered by Cotto this early...he can still make a few million with JCC Jr before he gotta silence of the lamb him....

    OR

Just like the fans Arum sees there is no future for JCC jr...he might make him million for a few years or he might just get beat by some random bum tomorrow...
