The Lopez of Campas, and Ike fights would KO Miguel IMO. Too much power, Miguel too easy to hit, and Cotto has no piston like Ike jab to keep Lopez honest with. Miguel outpoints the listless, faded Lopez that lost to Page.
I foresee Cotto becoming under-rated with time, as an aside. That fight with Pacquiao will prove the undoing of his good work. I do think he was better than Lopez on his best night.
Lopez never let his hands go, and even when he did on occassion, he tends to still get too much credit for it... Cotto may not be a great welterweight, but he is solid enough and skilled enough to win enough rounds to take a decision off of Lopez, maybe he hits the deck late... I just don't think Lopez was all that
Cotto by Decision....8-4...9-3...but it would look closer than it actually was, because the rounds Cotto win he wins by doing the basic and landing solid punches. While the few rounds Lopez win he will win them them big by having Cotto hurt during the round, just like Torres..
