This one I could see going either way. Vernon has problems with very strong fighters but he has the punch to do serious damage on Cotto.

    What happens here?

I think if Cotto can take Vernon's shots he can stop the Viper late. Good fight.

I really like Vernon in this one.

Tall guy who has a stiff punishing jab and an excellent uppercut to boot...

In Vernon's first fight with Mayorga (and the rematch for that matter) he landed viscious uppercuts...Mayorga just happens to have a damn good chin.

The Vernon from Forrest Mosley 1 I think beats Cotto and almost anyone in or around the division. The shots he was throwing in that fight were wicked and it's no wonder he put so much hurt on Shane. He also knew how to use his advantages so I could see him keeping the smaller shorter Cotto on the end of his jab and coasting to a decision victory after maybe hurting Cotto once or twice in the fight.
