It's very true. Tyson was a charismatic dynamo in a sport that needed desperate help. His style appealed to every guy and his mother. He was headline news long before he did any real jail time.

I mean the second half of your statement.

I don't think it's only because it's Tyson.

Case in point: an Olympic boxer from the area where I live got into legal trouble before he could turn Pro and went to prison...

It made the local news.

It's the ONLY time I've seen anything remotely related to boxing since I've been here.

I'm not sure it being "Tyson" has anything to do with it by this point.

Tyson would need a lot of work to be a good commentator.

He was pretty bad on Showtime on the Hopkins-Mercado II/Pettway-Brown card.
