YouTube video, full fight, very short. Sapp is chasing Mirko all over the ring. CroCop catches him good with a low kick/left hand. Sapp suffers fractured orbital bone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_bn6cjaUXY&search=crocop I have nothing against Sapp. If a former NFL player can go as far as he did in K1 and even taking one of the best in the world like Rodrigo Noguira to the brink in Pride, I'd say that's quite impressive. I doubt Sapp really had sufficient training for MMA, he was what you could consider a circus performer who actually did better than many people imagined.
Sapp in the proof that Kimbo might have a good break in MMA. But I'd prefer to see him in boxing. He's the heavyweight we all need. A Steroid-Thuggish version of Mr T. :2:
Sapp is not even a fighter in the least, but look how far he's gotten as a K1 sideshow. He's racked up alot of wins over some respectable comp in K1. I don't think losing to one of the world's best in CroCop is something to be ashamed of. He also gave Noguira hell. Nog had to deliver the arm bar several times before Sapp was weak enough to succumb. I still remember when Nog was on top of him and Sapp just pushed him off with 1 hand through sheer strength. You know you're strong when you push a 6'4, 230Lb Ju jitsu Master off of you with 1 hand.:jester:
I'm not the one mentioning Kimbo, you'll have to ask Haymaker. Sapp has beastly strength, that's one reason he's done relatively well. I guess when you're as strong as King Kong, it does help somewhat.:jester: Now Just imagine if somebody taught Sapp how to fight. It would be like teaching a prime Foreman how to throw and properly snap his punches.
Damn! Sapp was in a lot of pain in there. He seems like a nice guy, I don't like seeing him like that
I remember him on Leno and him crushing and apple with one hand and you see the apple exploding all over the set. That guy is so damn strong.
