These rankings are based on a fighter's accomplishments. I try to avoid ranking one fighter ahead of another based on speculation, because I think he can beat the other guy, or because he is stronger, faster or has superior technique. For how many of us thought Buster Douglas was going to get KTFO’d by Mike Tyson. Or, to cite a more recent happening in MMA, who assumed legend Jens Pulver was going to trounce unknown Joe Lauzon last September? Would even one in a hundred diehard fans have predicted that loss, and in such quick, brutal fashion? http://fightbeat.com/article_detail.php?AT=248 Thanks for your comments. NYCKID
eh, i agree with your number 1, but thats about it.... I'd go with something like Fedor Shogun GSP Wandy Chuck Matt Gomi Cro Cop Kid Yam Penn
yeah, me too. I know you're not a big fan of Chuck (at least i think i remember that correctly), but 2 is just too high for him....If he BLASTS out Ortiz, thats a little better, but his latest wins arent that great....beating up on Coture is good shit, but Babalu and Horn arent awe inspiring wins..... Shogun at the tourney, GSP whooping Matt, and everything Wandy has done in the last 5 years put them ahead of Chuck on my list
Don't forget to embellish upon GSP accomplishments with wins over Trigg, Sherk and Penn. A few intangibles had me believing his victory over Hughes was already sealed after their first fight. All of this puts him on par with both Rua and Silva. Liddell has been fed recycled fighters far too long now. I'm interested to see Rampage and Marvin Eastman which will tell how much Rampage has improved. With the changes he's taken in his training approach I'm expecting a different fighter than the one I saw against Liddell. He's going to have to be different to beat this Liddell.
how Eastman is a gauge for Rampage's IMPROVEMENT, I dont know.....any version of Rampage past the 10 fight mark of his career should beat Eastman
Liddell hasn't changed and even if he did, how would we know when he's fought nothing but ground fighters with below average standup.
First, I did not question the outcome of Jackson and Eastman. With the recent changes he's made in his training EVERY fight, from this point, WILL be a measuring stick for Jackson as his style needs a major overhaul. Therefore not just Eastman but every fighter he faces will answer questions I have. I just mentioned Eastman because Quinton gets him first.
ahh, I'm more or less joking....I think the problem was he's a chronic underacheiver and terribly inconsistent..... So what if he beats the snot out of Eastman....it doesnt mean shit
Yeah it does Eastman beat Quinton in his 3rd fight at King of the Cage so it means Rampage gets to avenge a loss.
please, that loss was avenged when Quinton started cashing his Pride paychecks.....Losing ones third MMA fight to a seasoned veteran is no big bananas.....
Well its not about what your ass thinks because you are the shit on the bottom of Quinton's shoes but it means something to Quinton because he has been wanting this rematch for a long time so you can believe it's one fight he ASKED for when he signed his contract. Quinton don't give a rats ass if YOU think the fight means anything because it means something to him and thats all that matters. You ain't no fighter you're just an internet poster that likes to complain about who people fight.
hmm....glad quinton told you all of that.....and I'm not complaining about the fight, its meaningless, yes, but am I complaining, no....I was commenting on what someone else said.....now go back to being mexi melts bitch
I ain't nobodys bitch you fucking dirty swamp rat. Cuntaliga hasn't beaten me at shit bitch. An yes you are complaining like you always do and the fight isn't meaningless to Quinton fuck nut as I said he's been wanting this rematch ever since the first fight dip-shit. As for somebody being a hick you're more of a hick then I am I'm from NC and your swamp rat ass is from Louzeeanna as yall call it you crawldad eating, swamp swimming, creole speaking bitch.
Which is exactly why I need to see more of him NOW since coming back to the states and since he didn't have the camp before that he does now. Strength has always been his biggest asset while the rest of his game left much to be desired. Very much in need of improvement indeed. Now he and his camp train with Ortiz's and I'd like to see what kind of effect it will have on his performance. Plus, at 28, he's still young.
No the moron is the dumb fucker who claimed Matt Hughes is the greatest fighter of all time and that honor goes to you dip shit.
