What few seconds in a fight, that you either witnessed live, or watched live on tv, whether it be in a World title fight or domestic level, made you hold your breath feeling a sense of awe, panic, excitement or amazement?

I'll give you a couple of examples,

    1) Mayweather v Mosley, round 2, the moment Shane landed on Floyd's chin and seeing Floyd's legs buckle, expecting him to taste the canvas,

    2) Pacquiao v Hatton, round 2, the moment Manny landed on Ricky's chin, flooring him and knocking Ricky out cold.

I'm still genuinely impressed he got up from that. At the time I was convinced it was over.

Me too. Didn't Maidana say after the fight that if it wasn't for that body shot, he would have ended up either ko'ing Khan or winning on points? Whateva Marcos, whatevaaaa.

Not out of the question he came within about one punch of doing it half a dozen times. The margin was narrow and the effect of that shot must have been considerable.

Martinez v Williams 2, round 1 and THAT PUNCH, that had me thinking for a few seconds, ''Dear God, Sergio Martinez has actually killed Paul Williams.''

I thought that very thing when Manny sparked Hatton. Something about the way Hatton lay there breathing deeply with that look on his face was scary.

I was just a kid (& less than a year into Boxing), but I remember how massive it was when McClellan sent Benn instantly through the ropes. Everyone gathered at our house (my father, & his mates) was up & screaming.

1st round, Hatton v Mayweather, when Ricky landed a left and sent Floyd stumbling backwards. Many say it was due to Floyd being off balance when the punch landed, but it did look pretty legit to me.

A left jab/hook does land on Floyd, i'm sure??
Floyd may not have been wobbled, but he was left finding his feet after an awkward moment.

Yea it wasn't the effect from a punch which did it. Mosley-Floyd is a different matter though...

    Taylor/Chavez I

I had a feeling that something was going to happen. Taylor had the fight in the bag, but I knew Chavez would come through one way or the other.

Richard Steele stopping that fight was the ultimate gut punch.

Pacquiao v Margarito. Every second of that fight i'm thinking (towards pac), "what's this guy on, he's abnormal", "surely the bigger man will ko him", which of course did not happen.

So am I. That was a vicious bodyshot, I don't think any other fighter would've gotten up from that. Chino is made of iron.

Haha, yea I didn't really see the shot from the angle I was seated, only realised how hurt he was when I saw the replay on the big screens. I still believe that's the most hurt Calzaghe has ever been, if Jones had jumped on him there and then, who knows

Simon Brown against Terry Norris... Norris had SO MUCH hype and Brown had beat some nobodies since getting carved up by Buddy McGirt, but was clearly just another beat up welterweight for Norris to look good against... and then JAB! down goes Norris... one of my favorite fights ever

    Rahman KOing Lewis

Whitaker running out of time, looking like shit against Hurtado, lazy and unmotivated, he looked to be well on the way to losing the title and a zillion dollar payday... he did what he had to do and went after the guy, one of the more disturbing KOs ever... typical Mercante Jr.

Round 9 of Ward/Gatti... people can say what they want about both guys getting far more hype and attention than their skills/accomplishments warrant, and they would not be wrong... HOWEVER, that was incredible drama... 99% of refs would have stopped that fight with Ward pummeling Gatti along the ropes in the corner... though certainly the tenth round was a terrific display of recovery by Gatti, it was a bit anticlimactic... Steward yelling like an excited kid "THAT'S GOT TO BE THE ROUND OF THE CENTURY!" ... very memorable

    certainly, Corrales/Castillo
