Did anybody catch this?? The guy got dropped, then boxed OK after that but looked super tentative. Then he gets a little eye gash and straight tells the doc he can’t see!!! Tried to pull a Camacho Jr only the doc was wise to his cowardice. Then moments later he wrestled his opponent over the top rope and the ref immediately DQ’d him for being a b*tch. The Eddie Hearn got up and starts saying how horrible a decision it was (admittedly it wasn’t great- thats not the point, the point is that Montana fought and quit like a b*tch!- not a getting hurt quit which in a honesty is very justifiable, but rather just a plain old scared to maybe get beaten quit.). Then this Aussie clown spent the entire post fight apologizing to everyone for winning by DQ .
Love definitely comes across as a mental softie. But again, I've never heard him super highly rated like a Boots or Shakur.
Just watched it definitely wasn't as outrageous as what I expected. Not sure the dq was warranted as it seems more of a freak incident than a deliberate attempt to throw him out of the ring, especially since Spark nailed the landing and wasn't hurt at all. Still, him claiming he couldn't see because of that little cut looked very bad, no doubt about it.
Love tried to get the fight stopped on the butt, looking for some home cooking from the judges to sneak a win. It would have been an majority draw anyway. The doctor not stopping the fight was bizarre - if the fighter says" I can't see", you stop it - unless the doctor also thought that Love was fine and was just trying to be a bitch. It was shaping to be a good fight down the stretch so disappointing. Love definitely pushed Spark out of the ring but I expected him to lose a point, not get DQ'ed. Spark was hilarious as he sorta realised he had options now , when asked if they should immediately rematch he said "Ahhh, errrr, um we'll have to see if it makes sense" .
To be honest, it deserved more than just a point deduction. As it happens Spark landed ok, but even then could have jarred his back, damaged a ligament or something that might be a serious handicap later in the fight - you often don't know how fucked up you are until the adrenaline wears off later. If it were me who was tipped head first out of the ring there'd be no doubt as I'd probably face-plant into the floor and break my neck.
True but it's not like he picked him up and threw it out of the ring royal rumble style. They were wrestling and Love shoved Spark face with his elbow and he weirdly went over the top rope. Really freak incident. In fact, it kind of looked like Spark jump out himself, like a pro wrestler would
those guys live in the ring. Love knew what he was doing, pushing Spark out of the ring. Love was frustrated because he couldnt handle Spark.
