I think Shane beats him by decision.

Shane gets knocked out for the first time in the pros if he does fight Margarito.
This will be something more fierce than what Vernon did to Shane in their first fight.

Nah. Shane will hold, run and close his eyes and throw bunches like a lovesick green eyed Down's syndrome drama queen. He will stink the fight out. Shane's dad will tell him he is winning. HBO will have Margarito up by 5 points. Shane will smile his bimbo smile after Margarito hand is raised. Shane will say he is not done unless his wife tells him he is not allowed to play anymore.

Shane has the FOOTWORK to Move More than Cotto Did & even MORE of a SPEED Edge than Cotto Had...Plus, Shane Almost ALWAYS Works the Body...

REED Isn't sure Who'd WIN @ this Point, but Shane Matches Up a Bit BETTER w/Margarita than Cotto Did...

This is a bad fight from the perspective of a fan who doesn't want to see Mosley get hit in the head much more.

Conversely, a great fight for those of us who do want to see Shane get hit more.

The Mosley of 7 years ago beats Margarito by decision. At this point Mosley will lose a convincing UD.

Mosley's yet to fight since the Cotto bout so I'm a bit hesitant on commenting on what he has left at this point, or predicting the outcome of any potential fights with top welterweights, until I see him against Mayorga.

He should push for Berto instead. Even at this point Mosley would be favored over Berto.

If I were Shane I'd just batter Mayorga and retire. No sense in getting beat up by an animal who's in his prime like Marg. But of course, Shane has ALWAYS looked for the biggest challenge, so this fight will happen. And it gives Tony another oppertunity to duck Williams.

I don't think Berto's a good match-up for Mosley at this pointin his career. He's got a short time left, I think, and there are better money fights out there for him.

Shane will look great against Mayorga, and it'll give people the false impression that he has a chance against Tony. But Mayorga has long been shot, and was ALWAYS tailor made for Mosley.

Well I think we can ALL agree that he has a better chance against Berto than he does Marg. Shane could hurt Berto. He cant hurt Marg.

I think Berto's too offensive and too strong for Mosley to fight him now when he's openly stated he's looking for a big money fights.

    Berto doesn't represent that.

Not a fucking chance. Shane may lose, but he won't get stopped and it most certainly won't be anything near what happened in the Forrest fight.

Anyway people act like Tony is some great power puncher, he isn't he uses a high workrate, pressure, and relentlessness not power to stop his opponents. Cotto was trying to keep distance and box, Shane will stand his ground a lot more and fight and Shane is probably more durable than even Tony is. However, at this stage of his career I'm not certain Shane can win. I will see what he has left after the Mayorga fight.

Also Shane would have no problem whatsoever with Berto and his defenseless style. I'm not sure Berto would beat Zab or Cintron.

And Xplosive, Mosley of 7 years ago stops Margarito by KO, not decision.

Marg is a tough sonavabitch, Mosley wouldnt stop him. Not even in his prime. But a prime Mosley woulda been too fast for Marg.

It'd take a prime Tito to stop Marg. Either him, or of course Hearns woulda done it.

I don't care how tough Marg's is. It's his style back then against a prime Shane that would have led to too much accumulation IMO. I think he'd have gotten stopped, but there's noway to know for sure. The only for sure is that Tito would have done it no question.

It's COMICAL Thinking of what Hearns would've Done to Margarita...The EASE w/which Margarita Gets Hit vs. Hearns' POWER is a DISASTROUS Mix...

It'd be comical watching Hearns debobulate around the ring all woozey from Margarito's uppercuts. Would've! would've! would've! would've! could've! could've! could've! could've!,.. the sounds of OWNED Fraud groupies, lapsing into thier imaginations for relief! :crafty:.

REED you still believe the Myth than Shane is some kinda boxer with teh footwork to outbox a good pressure fighter?

Sorry bro but you are dead wrong..Cotto has better footwork than Shane if anything....especially in 2008.

Shane has a chance to win this simply because he has a better chin than Cotto...but Tony should win a close decision from what I see.

Shane from a few years ago would win a clear decision.

Yeah, Hearns would have blitzed Cotto in a couple rounds.

Uh, yeah, Shane has much better footwork than Cotto. Cotto is a better boxer though. I don't know why people keep perpetuating this myth that Shane has such horrible footwork. His footwork is some of the best and quickest I've seen but he rarely uses it to the fullest because 1.) He's often too busy engaging fighters rather than running from them. 2.) At this stage of his career he has to save as much wind as he can so he ties up more rather than using his legs so much.
