Iced three fighters in a row now. The best in the sport? If not the best, it has to be the hardest pound for pound. Identical hook Ko'd Vargas, Mayorga, and put Margarito on his way.
he has a sneaky left hook.. Shane tends to slap quite a bit at times.. and sometimes he'll turn over that hook and land it right on the button.. that was NICE!
The speed the punch carries is the magic touch....and he throws it at the perfect time when it can't be counter so he puts all his body behind it and just jump in with it....
Shane pitty pats to lull his opponent then throws the fierce ripper out of nowhere leaving you feeling like WTF just happened.
Yeah, you can see in slow mo Shane turning his whole body into the punch, that's a powerful punch. He sells out to throw it but it lands LOL
What's funny is the left hand he hurt Margarito with in the 8th was out of the left hand stance. Him and Cotto are two fighters I noticed do that every so often after missing a right hand. Instead of falling out of position they come back with a straight left hand from the southpaw stance. Mosley also did this in the 3rd round tonight and landed as hard as you could square on Margarito's jaw.
The left hook from the conventional boxing stance is prolly the single most devastating punch in boxing. I'll Holla 5000
He completely turned a few of them over. He wasn't winging his punches tonight. He was driving them into Margarito's willing skull.
I will give him "left hook" credit for the Margarito KO, but Vargas and Mayorga were way too past it.
