Undercard has just finished so fight on it's way any minute now. Anyone give a fuck? This could be a decent fight this, though I strongly suspect that Munroe is in a little over his head here...

It's been a good couple of rounds for Munroe. Blocking a lot of shots on the gloves and landing a few of his own...

Excellent fourth round for Munroe. I have this about even through four.

Jim Watt FFS...Honestly, how a boxer can be so absolutely WOEFUL at calling action and scoring fights is beyond me. He had the 5th even despite the fact that it was easily the best round for the Champion thus far.

    MTF :shit:

Good little scrap. Nishioka was impressive for me- very accurate with his shots and some lovely body punching throughout. Munroe had his moments and certainly wasn't disgraced but he lacks some of the finesse and power required at this level.

I always wonder whether they do some betting on betfair on the side. Talk Munroe down from 3.5 to 2.0 in the odds through three rounds. Then shows his scorecard and has it 3-0 Nishioka, which causes the odds to swing back, and yes that 5th round scoring was just retarded.

I forgot all about this.......shame on me. But I didn't expect him to win on the road. That said a wide points decision, on the road, for the WBC title.....is nothing to be ashamed of. What he needs is what Bernard Dunne had, hand picked shite in his hometown. Munroe is clearly a top 15 fighter, World.

This was a decent fight. Munroe seemed to be making a fight of it early on. Nishioka seemed to be out of breath, but soon found his second wind and pretty much dominated the middle/late rounds. Munroe was definately hurting from all those lefts to the body. Munroe is clearly not world class - too one dimensional and lacks real punching power. I'd like to see nishioka fight outside of japan too, but will not happen. Was impressed with nishioka - showed quick hand speed and overall body movement. Would do well if he fought outside japan.

Didn't Nishioka go to Mexico and spark Jhonny Gonzales out? I'm fairly sure he did :dunno: Agreed largely with the rest, though I think Munroe acquitted himself fairly well for a first real outing at world level and 'clearly not world class' is a touch harsh perhaps...

I'd like to see Nishioka in with the big guns like Lopez or Gamboa but it won't happen

So he did. Just checked up on his record, hardly know anything about the guy to be honest. He came back well in that one from going down in the 1st and won in the 3rd. He also fought in France and America in 05' and 06' (winning both). I will be keeping an eye out for him and will hopefully see him fight in America or Europe.
