Shame it’s not against MJ. Pretty waste of time in his prime if you ask me. Naoya Inoue will defend undisputed super-bantamweight title against TJ Doheny on September 3 in Japan
i saw doheny give danny roman a decent fight at the forum. cant say ive seen him since that i recall. but he is very popular in japan so it was inevitable they made this bullshit.
Doheny DESTROYED a Highly Touted Inoue Sparring Partner in 1 Round, Which is Where LEGIT Interest Grew From...Kid Named Japthalee or Something...Doheny Whupped His Ass... TJ Ain't a "Cakewalk", Per Se, but the CLEAR Desired Opponent Here is MJ...People Use the Tapales Loss AGAINST MJ, But it Would Be a Bit of a DISSERVICE if Inoue Leaves '22 w/Out Having Faced Him, in REED's Opinion... REED
5 more hours till inoue I'm choosing the stay up option. Reed getting up for it, kudos on the mattlala reference
Higa acted like both his hands were broke in the last round. He barely threw 5 punches. Basically just gave the round away to all three judges.
Unfortunate back injury to end that but it probably saved him from being brutally stopped. Only one winner from there. MTF
Yeah. Weird ending but Inoue was breaking him down. I was actually quite impressed with Doheny for the most part. Really nice movement.
Takei vs Higa was a fun scrap. Inoue did his usual thing and stopped his opponent. Doheny won 2 rounds at best, just a shame that he hurt his back and couldn’t continue although a stoppage was inevitable anyways.
Yeah, it's kind of sad but it seems Inoue prime will pass by without him facing a fellow, in his prime, ATG. There is absolutely no one around his weight class who seems to be near his clas and it feels a little unfair to expect him to climb up in weight again. Maybe Bam Rodriguez at bantam if hes still able to make the cut... that would be one he'll of a match-up.
