    According to reports, Valuev/Sauerland have been offered the fight by Arena Box Promotion to make an optional defense in December in Turkey.

    Is the WBA going to greenlight an optional defense or will Rustaly Chagaev be ready to fight by then?

    Personally, I'd rather see Wlad and Valuev fight their mandos in December and at least pretend to express legit interest in a unification match sometime in 2009. Though of course there's no guarantee Valuev gets it right the second time around against Chagaev (although I'd favor him at this point).

    Valuev has no mandos and after Dec. 13th Wlad has no belts. :fightme:

    Yes the WBA has greenlighted Valuev to make an optional defense against a bum of his choosing. Afterwards he´ll have to fight Chagaev, who has started light workouts with a special cast.
