I've never seen enough footage of Loi to make an accurate assessment, but resumes indicate it would be a close fight.
I think both of these guys either get very underrated, or very overrated. For all the talk of Locche being a hometown fighter, Loi was well worse. Like, much, much worse. I've seen about twenty minutes of Loi footage. Highlights, and about five rounds of the third Ortiz fight. On face value he's the type of fighter who'd give Locche problems; intense, aggressive, bullish and strong. Good skills, too. But for all intents and purposes, he was soundly out-boxed quote decisively by Perkins, and against Ortiz. I don't think that bodes well for him here. And Locche's record stands up to inspection much, much better than Loi's does too. I see either a close decision for Loi based on aggression, or a clear decision for Locche.
