The more I learn about Locche, the more dominant I find him. He'd outclass Mancini is IMO. Just a different level of fighter. Mancini's isn't good enough to take advantage of his style advantage is.
Locche has had a swing of opinion against him in recent years I think, as more footage became available. Some of it was legitimate criticism against the waxing lyrical that occurred when he found a wider audience initially, but there has been an overcompensation imo, and some of the fighters I've seen people pick over him h2h have made me scratch my head with furrowed eyebrows. He really was a great fighter and I think that a lot of people underestimate the technique, intelligence and ability required on top of a stylistic edge to be able to really put your foot on the throat of a truly great, multi-faceted defensive fighter who is completely relaxed and unfazed. People get caught up a bit too much imo with the broadstrokes of the styles make fights aspect and ignore some of the finer subpoints that can be crucial in determining how a fight unfolds or where a fighter might unexpectedly struggle with something.
