Mandatory #1 Heavyweight challenger Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmareâ€￾ Peter has jumped through so many of boxing’s circus hoops and waited so long to pounce on a heavyweight champion that he is already preparing diligently for the hunt of his dreams. Finally scheduled to challenge WBC King Oleg Maskaev on October 6 at Madison Square Garden, Peter began training a full eight weeks in advance of his big day.

I rec'd the same press release and headline a few hours ago. If it's true, then his PR team is either 4 weeks late with news of his reporting to camp - or their math is way off.

When I hear shit like this, I tend to believe that said fighter will wind up showing up for the fight in career-worst condition.

Maybe they just found him and were trying to put positive spin on it? After 8 weeks of searching we found Samuel at White Castles on Queens Blvd. doesn't really sound very appealing.
