I became an instant fan of Donaire after his KO of Darchinyan. Since his upcoming fight will be at Foxwoods, I will more than likely be going to see his fight live - if anything the Tarver/Green scrap should be worth the price of attendance. I've never seen Luis Maldonado fight (maybe I've caught him on Showtime vs Vic? - if I did he never really made any impression on me), but a quick look at boxrec shows that he is 37-1 with a TKO loss to Darchinyan and a draw to Mijares. Mijares is legit so the fact that he has a draw with him makes this match up a bit more intriguing. Tell me about Maldonado. How's his chin? A TKO loss to Darch doesn't really tell you much since prior to the Donaire Fight, Darch was pretty much steamrolling over everybody. Will he be susceptible to Donaire's counter left hook? How do you see this match up going? I want to bring some friends (casual boxing fans) to the fight, but I don't want to bring them to a snoozer.
